Food is always good quality, cooked well, presented nicely, portions are good and therefore good value for money. Service is always prompt, polite and friendly. Premises is welcoming and clean.
The Queens Head – OswestryThe staff were very friendly and helpful. The conservatory was beautiful but a little chilly. My friends food was spot on but she had ordered her duck pink and it was very well cooked. I ordered a three egg omelette, I ate it all but it was quite disappointing, on the eye, lacked presentation. Overall it was a very pleasant visit.
The Queens Head – OswestryA fantastic meal at The Queen's Head. We both had the paella which was superb. The service was also excellent. Highly recommended!
The Queens Head – OswestryFood was so nice and the actual building is so cute and cosy inside - cocktails are a bit pricey but they are everywhere in Ironbridge.
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeWe went to The White Hart as a birthday lunch for myself, and we were both so impressed. We would definitely go back again as we so enjoyed our time there.
The White Hart – IronbridgeLovely food and excellent service, hesitating on whether to eat here due to historical visits but I was impressed. The only thing my custard was cold with the crumble, did address this when we paid the bill
Water Rat – IronbridgeHad afternoon tea it was delicious! Included a glass of Prosecco and tea or coffee. Well worth the money and the guy waiter was so lovely and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordWe had a lovely evening in the Golden Ball, reminiscing about visits over the years. The food was lovely, I recommend the faggots if they are on the menu when you visit. My friends had the crispy beef strips and said it was delicious. Atmosphere was relaxed, and warm - helped by the log burner. Always a good experience at the Golden Ball.
The Golden Ball Inn – TelfordFour of us dined here recently all of us enjoyed our meals lovely and fresh. Nice friendly waiter. Good choice on the menu, average price. Would definitely eat here again.
The Last Inn – NewportReally accommodating team who looked after our party really well. Good food and excellent service.
The Queens Head – OswestryWas quite nice for the money apart from finding a slice of raw onion in the Baileys cheesecake which might of been stuck to the knife they used to cut it
Water Rat – IronbridgeFood was nice and prices are decent. The pub has a lovely ambience. Unfortunately the service was quite poor. Waitress was very moody sadly and while she wasn’t openly rude she wasn’t very proactive in asking if we need things etc and gave the impression she wasn’t happy to help. This is very unusual for the malthouse as I’ve been many times before and had great service each time
The Malthouse – TelfordWe booked on a whim after visiting for lunch a few weeks ago and the whole process was very straightforward. On arrival we had the choice of seating and we were offered a good choice of drinks which were brought to us .I ordered the Raven burger with an upgrade to Beef messy fries and my wife had the ‘small ‘ portion of chicken nachos. When the food arrived we were not disappointed! The portions were very generous and well cooked, I do have a healthy appetite but I was nearly beaten. However, we did have just enough room for a sweet! I had the sticky toffee pudding and my wife had the apple crumble. I must admit I did have food envy! But luckily my wife couldn’t finish it! Overall, we were very pleased with our food, the staff were wonderful again.( we must get the lady’s name) and the chef shared his crumble recipe which I thought was ace. We do intend to go back in the new year. Well recommended.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyWe had a lovely afternoon tea. The chap that served us was fantastic. We will return
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordGreat Sunday lunch Sharing platter with all of the roast meats ! All pubs should offer this
The Golden Ball Inn – TelfordMy husband and I went for Sunday lunch at the Malthouse with two other adults and a toddling baby. We had a lovely meal, we polished off a Sunday roast, burger and two veggie dishes, plus cauliflower cheese which the little one lapped up. The restaurant area was quiet when we went, but it seemed like there is lots of space. The staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The meals were good value, with generous portions and good ingredients. The restaurant is close to the historic bridge and museums and must be an even nicer spot in summer and autumn, with a wood on the other side of the river. No parking at the restaurant, but a museum car park is nearby.
