The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeGreat afternoon tea with a twist at the Swan Taphouse. The service was excellent and the food was really tasty, with their well-known smokehouse flavours shining through. And then came the desserts! We were all very full by the end. Great value for money — we’ll definitely be back again. Thank you!
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordFrom booking a table online to to the last bite was absolutely amazing . An undiscovered gem in North shropshire , if you want lovely food and friendly staff set in a beautiful location, this is the one . I had ribeye and it was cooked to perfection . My girlfriend had Paella which was fresh and was so tasty , it arrived like it was put together with care and passion for food . Seriously worth a visit . And set next to a canal with lovely walks . Well done to everyone that works there . Could not fault it . Will be back thank you for a lovely time guys !
The Queens Head – OswestryGreat place , warm and cosy inside , although my wife found it alittle cool , I work outside so I found it ok , steaks were great nicely cooked , onion rings were best I’ve had , so nice place to go for a steak , if you are abit on the cooler side of a person , take a jumper , overall great place
Ribeye Shrewsbury – ShrewsburyWe visited on 15/01 for a birthday meal, the food was excellent especially the steak and ale pie. Service was friendly and the price reasonable.
The Smokey Cow – TelfordLovely food, lovely atmosphere had a great time
Ribeye Shrewsbury – ShrewsburyWe visited as a group recently during the 40% off promotion. The food was excellent, there were 13 of us and everyone’s meals looked lovely. value was excellent and Louise looked after us incredibly well, worked very hard. Thank you Louise.
The Smokey Cow – TelfordWe are lucky to have this pub as one of our locals. We've never had a bad meal here. The staff are longstanding and all friendly and it's nice that they include the kids in their conversations to make them feel included. Never had any issues, food is always lovely. A lovely family pub.
The Queens Head – OswestryNice friendly pub with good service, however the morrocan tagline was rather disappointing it wan mainly potatoes in a tomato sauce with a bit of onion. The cous couscous was good though. I have to add the dessert was delicious sticky toffee pudding which made up for it.
Water Rat – IronbridgeI took my family and a friend that has just welcomed a new born baby in for Sunday Lunch. I put a request in for plenty of room around the table for the buggy and we got this! The staff were very welcoming and kind as they showed us to our table. Food came promptly and was 10/10. Cannot fault the experience.
The Queens Head – OswestryThe service was brilliant couldn’t fault it. Young waitress who looked after us was so polite and friendly, we didn’t understand what something on the menu was so she went away and researched to find out :) drinks were lovely too, the food was ok, I wouldn’t rave about it but it was alright… it was a lovely evening though :)
The Underground – ShrewsburyThis was my first visit at Tilley Raven & sadly I won't be returning. I called to book a table for 7 people whilst on a country walk in the area and was told they couldn't fit us in until an hour after our requested time. When we finally arrived for our allocated time the place was absolutely empty so there was no reason why they couldn't have fit us in. We were also asked to pre-order for 7 people in an empty pub with 3/4 items not available to order. Chloe the supervisor had zero warmth or customer service about her and the place was freezing. Thankfully the sunday roast was very nice but not enough for me to want to return!
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyNo problems booking online...time we wanted Sunday lunch. Prompt service on arrival...shown to table. Drinks ordered ..perused menu...I chose beef Sunday roast...friend chicken breast...plenty veg gravy...superb meal...puddings went down a treat aswell....couldn't fault our lunch...Will return.
The Queens Head – OswestryVery pleasantly surprised by this place Enjoyed everything about it Friendly service food came in good time and was very nice. Reasonable price for what we had and very tasty Will definately be going again
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeTerrible experience, most the food was lukewarm. Some chicken bits were cold when bitten into, we asked for them to be taken away and they were returned to us having been reheated as the bite mark was still there! I did email in regards to this but no response. I wouldn’t go back and I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
