The Smokey Cow – TelfordFood was hot and tasty.. Service was excellent as ever.
The Bull – ShrewsburyBooked here for the first time after a recommendation. So wished we had found this place earlier. Wow! Food was absolutely sensational! Genuinely couldn’t have been better! Delicious and most flavoursome food and piping hot. Such a selection for a ‘Sunday Roast’ it was fabulous. Cocktails were great too along with the entertaining and characterful service! Genuinely could not recommend more highly! We will be back and spreading the word about this little gem in Ironbridge
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeThe Water Rat is my favourite local place to eat. Always lovely setting, the decor is nice, tables not too close together ,service lovely and friendly and good very good.
Water Rat – IronbridgeExcellent quality food cooked well.
The Last Inn – NewportFirst came back in December to celebrate my birthday and was delighted with the hospitality, food was excellent the chef knocked the steak out the park absolutely beautiful. So decided to take my mother out for her birthday 20th Feb again greeted with a warm welcome nothing was too much trouble, food again excellent will definitely be back. Highly recommended
Water Rat – IronbridgeWe had a wonderful Galentines Afternoon Dinner for 2. Great value, lovely food, comfy atmosphere and great service. We took home more food than we were able to eat! Would recommend to friends
The Bull – ShrewsburyUnfortunately this isn't a good review. Ordered the all american burger and the brisket. The burger patty was probably the worst thing I ever attempted to eat in a restaurant. I'm not sure what day it was cooked on but the quality of the patty was terrible. About 1cm thick and burnt to a crisp. The actual meat was horrendous and was the sort of burger you'd get 50 of for a tenner. Food tasted like it had been sat on the pass for a while which woildnt surprise me as the staff weren't very attentive. Had to get up and ask at the bar for more drinks and had to do the same for the bill as even though we were sat with empty plates in front of us for 15 minutes, nobody came to collect them or ask us how the meal was (even after already saying it wasn't good). Wouldn't return unfortunately. Really poor produce and not great service at all.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordAnother excellent meal for four. High quality food.
The Queens Head – OswestryWe booked under their midweek winter meal offer of £25pp and it was great value for money. Obviously this came with a limited choice of drinks and meal choices but plenty enough to choose from and the food was delicious. Lovely friendly staff too. We’ll be back when we’re in the area again at some point.
The White Hart – IronbridgeAlways an excellent meal. Great menu and quality food.
The Queens Head – OswestryWe ate for the first time at the water rat and loved it. My husband had sirloin steak and chips. I had fish and chips. For afters we had lemon cheesecake. The meal was excellent , we were so full. Will definitely be going back. The staff went out of their way for you. The atmosphere was so relaxing.
Water Rat – IronbridgeVery nice pub / restaurant. We both had main meals & desserts which again we both enjoyed. The service was good & all the staff were very pleasant. All in all it's a place I would recommend.
Water Rat – IronbridgeBooked an afternoon tea for 2 with bottomless cocktails/prosecco. The food was lovely and fresh, with plenty of sweet treats! Water Rat – IronbridgeBooked for a family meal following a recommendation and were not disappointed! Lovely pub, quiet and unassuming….staff were welcoming and food was great. There was no rush (only one chef on apparently) which created a relaxing no pressure experience. Our meals were delicious and faultless, we would highly recommend!!
