Having travelled in from the canal opposite, it was a delight to see the mass gluten free options haven't been a coeliac for the last 14 years are not once finding a place to eat so accommodating and welcoming. Having finished our meals and having some left we were thinking that we would have to leave some behind but luckily we were glad to see that take away boxes were on offer so we made full advantage of it and took it back to our boat ready for breakfast the following morning. Would fully recommend to any coeliacs in the local area or to travel in and will be posting the review on an official coeliac charity website to spread more awareness of the amazing options! Will definitely be back if returning to the area.

It was a delightful menu with a specials menu available. The food was wonderful my roast dinner came with a marvellous selection of fresh vegetables. The presentation of the food was really good. The staff were young but obviously enjoyed their place of work which was reflected in the way they payed attention to our needs. A really delightful atmosphere in a beautiful setting.

Three Generations of our family had a wonderful Three Course Lunch at The Swan Taproom yesterday. Staff were friendly. Meal was excellent. There was soooooo much choice on the menu. Thank You.

Booked the Golden Ball as its convenient to where we were staying, and just like last year we werent disappointed. Good menu, food was presented well and very tasty. Service was great and we had a lovely time.

We booked a table for a Saturday early doors. Parking is across the road from the pub but easily crossed. We had just mains and a few drinks and couldn't fault the food or the service. The staff were lovely and friendly too.

Loverly place to eat staff were very prompt, Good variety of food to choose from on the menu would highly recommend a visit would definitely eat here again .

Very disappointing food. 'Medium rare' rump steak certainly wasn't medium rare. Not a hint of any juices and quite tasteless. Told (very nice) waitress what I thought but no-one came to ask about it, which I would have expected as I left virtually all my meal, including two-thirds of the steak. Sauce on chicken wings starter was weird.

Absolutely fantastic food, & very friendly service. A really really lovely meal. Very pleasantly surprised. Didn't have to wait long for food, despite it being a busy Friday evening. Lovely atmosphere. Will definitely go again.

First time we have been for a meal since Mark the head chef moved on to his dream job Pleased to say the standards we had come to expect were still there Sadly if we don't support our local pubs they will disappear If your new to the area or just staying locally give the Tilley Raven a try It's an easy walk from Wem or you can even go the scenic route by the river Dee dogs very welcome

Lovely gluten free and vegan meal. Great location . Friendly and helpful staff

I brought my brother and his wife (plus their dog) to the Tilley Raven for a birthday lunch, and we were made to feel very welcome by Kerry, who has a wonderful rapport with customers, and even treated the dog to some biscuits! The food was excellent - a step above the usual pub fare, and with very generous servings. I'd definitely recommend a visit.

What a super restaurant. Friendly staff and super delicious food. Nothing too much trouble. The food was fresh, hot and excellent value for money. We will be back!

Great little cosy pub/restaurant . Food was lovely and the staff were friendly.

Had a meal on a Saturday evening and requested a quiet table which the staff accommodated. Nice place , staff were really friendly and helpful. It’s very much a steak or burger place imo , I had a burger which was very nice , my wife had a steak which she said was ok but nothing amazing. I think it’s a bit pricey for the food you get but it’s a nice place and if you want burgers /steaks etc then you should be fine. Would recommend it and I would eat there again.

Food was good and reasonably priced for Sunday lunch but the service was awful! From start to finish! The young barman/waiter obviously needs guidance and training! No attention to detail regards food or drink, no checking during service , drinks forgotten twice and never cleared the starter plates before bringing out main courses! Shame really as the Sunday lunch was very good
