We had a lovely meal there, there was 4 of us, friendly atmosphere, and clean, there is plenty of room in the pub, and the car park is quite big aswell the staff are all ways happy to help.

The Smokey Cow – TelfordFood was good as ever but on this occasion the service really let the experience down. Table was booked for 14:00 and didn’t receive the mains untill 15:45 which was too long of a wait, had to question the staff how long it was going to be, to be told it was just being plated which took 15 more minutes. The sides came out as starters which we asked to be as sides. The table was pre booked for 7 people so it wasn’t as if it was a walk in order. Staff didn’t seem to understand why we was a little confused un happy about the wait. All in all food was good service was terrible.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordSunday roast cooked to perfection and generous portions also massive puddings In a lovely historic pub
The Golden Ball Inn – TelfordIt was very busy when we arrived, we were seated in the conservatory, but asked to move as people were before us . We sat in the bar area , we had 3 Sunday dinners, 1 beef ,and 2 Pork , it was delicious as always , the food is very good at the Queens Head.
The Queens Head – OswestryAs always. A fabulous evening. There were six of us and we chose six different starters, 6 different main courses and 6 different desserts and we shared them all between us so we could taste everything!! Nothing disappointed us, quite the reverse, in fact. Suree took all of this in her calm manner and her team served us impeccably. None of my fellow guests had been to Surees kitchen before but look forward to being able to revisit. Many many thanks for a marvellous experience and also excellent value for money.
Suree’s Kitchen – IronbridgeWe’ve been to Suree’s Thai three times now, and every single visit has been nothing short of amazing. My husband and I went twice just the two of us, and we loved it so much that we had to bring my mum and dad along – they absolutely loved it too! The food is consistently fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality and care that goes into every dish. It’s honestly some of the best Thai we’ve ever had.
Suree’s Kitchen – IronbridgeThis is my favourite place to eat. Being a coeliac it is so accommodating with plenty of GF choices. The service is always good and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend!
The Queens Head – OswestryExcellent service and food. It was a quiet Tuesday lunch. The food was amazing we had fish and chips, really good quality. The only negative was a persistent fly! Perhaps a fly catching device in the restaurant area would solve this.
Water Rat – IronbridgeLovely setting. Good parking. Freindly staff and very good food. Good value
The Queens Head – OswestryReally nice meal. Very impressed with gluten free options. First time eating Mexican food and enjoyed very much
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeGreat food and services
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordExcellent food and service at The Queen’s Head on the 11th October 2025.
The Queens Head – OswestryGood menu, good food, good service
The Queens Head – OswestryWhat a little gem this place is! 4 friends went here for the first time on an October Wednesday lunch time. No, you know that, if a pub restaurant is pretty busy on an out of season Wednesday lunchtime, it's probably good. We were not disappointed. The food is simply top notch. Between us we had the steak and ale pie, mushroom risotto, roast duck and the paella. All dishes were absolutely perfect. Mine was the paella and it's probably the best I have ever eaten. Loads of shellfish and all perfectly cooked. We will definitely be back!
The Queens Head – OswestryFabulous venue and food! Superb location near the Iron Bridge and the service & food was excellent. Would also like to mention the hotel - this was equally as good!
The White Hart – IronbridgeAbsolutely lovely little place. Very quirky. Staff very friendly. We went for breakfast. Had their brunch menu. Pancakes were amazing. With being Coeliac I must have gluten free. Loads of choice! We had to stop looking at the menu because everytime we did, we changed our minds. The menu was fabulous. We will definitely return.
The Gate – ShrewsburyI have visited previously and always enjoyed - on this occasion, the service was a bit slower, but accepted this due it being a Saturday night. The food was very slow to come out (from first dish to last dish we waited approximately half an hour for all of the food to come out to us) but management discounted the bill when asked, which was greatly received. The food was good (albeit some of it was cold) but still very tasty. Overall a good experience.
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeExcellent meal and service. Very generous portions for all meals. Fresh ingredients and lots of flavour. Excellent value for money. There were 8 in our party and all loved our meals.
The Queens Head – OswestrySmall Plates: 3 for £16, 5 for £25.
