Had a really great experience at our recent visit. Food was excellent as was the service. Ella looked after us and she was fab. A real asset to the business. Cocktails were lovely and the setting was tastefully done. Enjoyed it so much and will definitely be back.

5 of us dined on 2nd august . Requested a “nice”window table at least 2 weeks in advance for my mom’s 75th birthday. Request totally ignored as given table against wall with no view at all and pub was not busy. Didn’t want to make a fuss in front of my mom. Starters of white bait and chicken wings were nice but mains were just “ok. I had Cajun chicken which was tiny but served with a plateful of aneamic looking fries and sloppy coleslaw, not great for near on £18; rest of dishes were just ok. Staff friendly

I went last night with 23 gymnasts after a long day of competing and Georgina and her team were amazing! The food was amazing and came out promptly so we were not too hungry, on top of that they were able to deal with all the extra drink and desert requests with no issue! We had an amazing time and will be going back!!

We have been to this restaurant a number of times fantastic authentic Thai food- having been to Thailand myself l can truly tell you what a great place this is!

We visited on a Friday afternoon after visiting the ironworks. There were 2 staff on for our 16.30 booking. They were absolutely fantastic, we had 3 young children with us, the menu choices for them were very good, as well as for the adults. The food was delicious, staff and service were excellent. We are planning to visit again when we return to the ironworks in September.

Monday evening, very quiet, but took over an hour for our food to arrive. Won't be going back for that reason.

The Sunday lunch was very tasty, we really enjoyed it, I had the Pork and my partner had Beef , staff were friendly and atmosphere was good . Thank you always enjoy our meals at The Queens Head.

Another superb Sunday lunch. The food was lovely and the service was exceptional. It is a real pleasure to go to restaurant that has the right number of staff who are all very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Several years ago we regularly visited for Sunday lunch and thought we’d give it another try. We weren’t disappointed; the sharer traditional Sunday roast was exceptional value for money and our dogs thoroughly enjoyed what we were unable to finish. To summarise, good quality and value for money food in a lovely establishment. Highly recommended.

Bought a Groupon voucher for the smokehouse afternoon tea for 4 people. Table was set and ready for us on arrival. We paid for a few extras, chips and onion rings. We were offered bottomless tea/coffee. The service was great, food was delicious and staff were friendly and efficient. Location was lovely. Would definitely recommend and will no doubt be returning. Thank you to all concerned.

Excellent meal as always, menu with loads of choice. Sure and team provide a very high level of service. My wife enjoyed her birthday meal with two of our dearest friends.

Our Home Group from church had a meal at the Raven to celebrate 'end of term'. There were fourteen of us and we enjoyed a nice lunch. We had placed our orders, by email, two days before, and the food was served, as ordered and quite soon after our arrival. Staff were pleasant throughout. We would definitely like to return on a similar occasion. Two minor observations: One of our folk thought the Mac and Cheese was a bit low on cheese, and another seemed to have been charged £2 for extra fries he hadn't asked for (with Ham, egg and chips). It has to be said, neither of them was very bothered about it. Those minor items apart, we were all very happy! We had a lovely relaxing time.
