Absolutely love the Tilley Raven, food is always fantastic and service. Lovely welcoming pub.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyWonderful to see Eve back at The Elephant Crossing. We have missed her. Food, service, atmosphere perfect once again. We have only been here once since Eve moved to a different location. Without her it was a very disappointing venue in every way. We are now looking forward to our next visit very soon
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeWe made a booking for two people for Sunday midday and enjoyed lovely Roast dinners followed by two different ice cream sundaes which were also very enjoyable. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The pub is very popular and we were glad we pre-booked the table. We will definitely go to the Queens Head again when visiting the area.
The Queens Head – OswestryFirst time last Sunday visiting the Tilley Raven to meet up with family. Very nice venue and the staff were great. The best pub Sunday roast we’ve ever had, delicious. I wish it was closer to us.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyLovely atmospheric place. Great service from the lads. Really liked them. My dog loved it too. The food was very tasty and caringly presented. Excellent draught beers. Just a great happy hearty place to stay we say.
The Malthouse – TelfordAbsolutely gorgeous meal. The Tilley Raven never disappoints. Beef brisket was so tender and flavoursome. Fantastic value for money too.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyDropped in on a Sunday for an alternative to the usual Sunday lunch and came away full, content and very impressed. The portions were generous especially the standard sized Nachos, authentic and very tasty. Staff were attentive and readily available for top ups and food related queries and the dining area were comfortable and spacious. We would recommend the Elephant Crossing for any day of the week and hope to return soon
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeWe had lovely evening food great staff looked after us
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyFood was absolutely delicious. Staff were lovely. Waited quite a while to order puddings though so we didn't order any. Could do with another member of staff. It felt like a school with the furniture and could do with a few soft furnishings.
The Smokey Cow – TelfordVisited twice on successive nights. Service was good. A wide choice of food at reasonable prices. We have visited several times in the past whilst on holiday in the area. Definitely plan to return.
The Queens Head – OswestrySuper family meal at the weekend. Staff were very helpful and happy to adjust some of the mains. We weren’t too keen on the fish platter as much was deep fried but salmon in prawn sauce was amazing as was sticky toffee pudding. Overall we felt it was a very professional set up
The Queens Head – OswestryGreat steak, pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff.
The Malthouse – TelfordNice place with good service. It was a quite Saturday afternoon so there wasn't any pressure on the kitchen. However unfortunately for us the food was average to poor. Starters over cooked. Crab cake was a hard crusty mainly empty shell containing a small amount of mashed potato. I did complain to the server but I should really have sent it back. The Black and Blue burger very average. Black pudding under cooked. Maybe it was the chefs day off I dont know but poor food meant poor value for money.
The Last Inn – NewportWe were a party of four celebrating my birthday. It was obvious from when we arrived there was a shortage of staff. There was 1 member of staff running the bar , taking food orders and serving. We had to wait a while to order our food. The food took about 30 mins to arrive by which time my granddaughter was complaining she was hungry. When the food arrived we were very disappointed. The chips were burnt and greasy. The gammon was overcooked. The curry was greasy and prawn crackers were brown and greasy. The fish batter was also greasy. The kids menu should have come with beans. It was substituted for peas without asking. Our granddaughter doesn’t eat peas . We have been to the Bull numerous times. We have always been happy with the quality of food and service. We chose this venue as it was a special occasion and also dog friendly. We were very disappointed on this occasion and won’t be going back in the near future.
The Bull – ShrewsburyBeen for evening meal and lunch the following day, food perfect, service excellent with some really friendly staff that you could have a laugh with, beer kept really well, (real ale drinker)
The Queens Head – OswestryAte here on Tuesday 10th September. Had the Tipsy Pig, pork cutlet with apple cider sauce on a bed of cabbage and onion and creamed mash. Food was very tasty and service very good. Good value for money.
Water Rat – IronbridgeWe found the location and ambiance to be very nice and the staff very attentive. I was expecting a better choice on the menu which would have complimented the location.
Water Rat – Ironbridge3 of us had a Sunday roast. I booked a table and advised we had a dog. When we got there there was a bowl of water waiting. Service was quick and polite. The roast was some of the best we’ve had and the portions were substantial. Nothing to fault at all.
