First time at Brooks but certainly won't be the last. The food is delicious, absolutely outstanding, service excellent and very good value for money. Could not fault anything and would highly recommend.
Brooks – IlkleyWe had a few days in Skipton and decided to treat ourselves to dinner at the bistro as it was my birthday. The meal that we had was excellent, we both had the fish parcel in filo with a lovely Thermidor sauce, two very good crème brûlées and a nice bottle of wine. Having said that what did let the evening down was the service. I can’t say we were made particularly welcome, we ordered 2 lemoncello to begin the meal and only 1 came. The food came in good time but the plates were just placed on the table, no warmth or comment, no return to check if the food was good, no comment when the plates were collected. The restaurant was quite busy and there only seemed to be 2 waitresses so they must have been rushed but I couldn’t say either of them showed any professionalism at all. A shame but it didn’t spoil the evening. Just a lot of room for improvement.
