Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldBeautiful food, great staff and lovely atmostphere. Highly recommend ❤️
The Cheshire Yeoman – Ellesmere PortAmazing roast dinner here, fab attentive staff and lovely location. Have been back several times and never disappointed!! Gem of a place
The Carriers Inn – FrodshamGreat food, great atmosphere and great service. Sunday lunch menu is a great price my only advice would to maybe offer starter and main or main and desert as options for £22.95.
Panama Hattys Restaurant & Bar – TarporleyWe enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Alvanley Arms, the service was prompt, the meal was delicious and the service was first class, and the atmosphere was perfect, we have dinned out many times over the years and hope to visit again.
Alvanley Arms – TarporleyA warm greeting on arrival and we joined our friends in the sitting area adjacent to the bar. We had ample time to have a pre-dinner drink and choose from the extensive menu. They adapted a couple of starters for us, which was great. We all enjoyed our meals - seafood, ribs, steak and sides. One of us still had room for pudding! All in all, good service, nice food and a pleasant atmosphere!
Panama Hattys Restaurant & Bar – TarporleyStaff and pub really nice, food ok without being anything special. Wife had the roast and said it was ‘nice’ but nothing more and myself and my daughter both had the burger which was over powered by the onion/gherkin which made it taste vinagery and soggy
Spinner and Bergamot – NorthwichExcellent food & service.
Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldLovely place, great atmosphere, the staff are warm and welcoming and the food is great with a good selection of cocktails. Definitely worth travelling 40mins to.
Panama Hattys Restaurant & Bar – TarporleyExcellent meal. The new regime is a great success; we have visited 3 times since the change of management. Staff universally lovely, food good, generous and tasty. Yhey do a comparatively limited menu with skill. In fact my only concern is that the menu is a bit restrictive if we are going to become regulars, but maybe they will change it at intervals - here is hoping.
Spinner and Bergamot – NorthwichWe regularly use the pub has we like the food and the service is very friendly. But with saying that our last two trips have been disappointing I had the liver and onions which was really overcooked so quite hard no staff came to check on the table which is usually the case.I find the times Karen is not on duty things don’t run has smoothly.
Alvanley Arms – TarporleyHad to wait over half an hour even though we booked days in advance
Elmas Restaurant – LymmI booked for afternoon Tea for 5 including a child, with a nut allergy. Food: It was a quality reasonable of sandwiches, cakes and scone. I found it filling but the same acnt be said of the men in the group. My daughter has a nut allergy and received fruit kebabs in place of the cake, which worked well. However, I was concerned when our Afternoon Tea arrived because we had carrot cake topped with walnuts. We were able to keep these items away from her but the risk of cross contamination is too great, and I will not be returning to the hotel. Service: Quite poor. The staff are polite but not very attentiive. It was all a bit disjointed. I had to ask at reception where to go for the Afternoon tea and a loveky lady directed us to the Lounge and to inform the bar staff of arrival. We were shown to our table which was two large tables pushed together, which meant we had to raise our voices to be heard because of a large group of loud people. Added to the fact the design, flooring etc., accentuated the sound. We were asked for drinks, which I now realise meant, do you want a drink from the bar, which we did not. I ordered tea without being directed to the menu, which had a range of different teas, but we all got the same 'builder's tea'. Almost immediately our food arrived, again no dialogue explaining what sandwiches, etc., it was put down and the young waiter walked away. No one returned to check if all was okay, and there was no offer of more tea. After 40 minutes a chef arrived with a 'Happy Birthday' treat which apparently should have been brought out with our tea and sandwiches. Again no explanation as to what ingredients were included in the chocolates or the chocolate sauce. Concerning, given a member of the party had a nut allgery, this was remiss. Atmosphere: Disjointed service, tables which looked like they should be used in the conference room, no table linen and a confused table layout in the room, it certainly wasn't special or inviting. The room had a beautiful aspect but it doesn't work. I have had Afternoon tea in few different places and this was the worst. Maybe staff need better training, maybe someone needs to learn how to 'dress' the room to look inviting. I could go on but it was quite disappointing , overall. The larger party did on the other hand get lots of attention, something content creation for the hotel. Either way, not good enough.
Mere Court Restaurant – KnutsfordBooked and visited with our son and grandson on Saturday as they were staying with us for the weekend. Lovely atmosphere as usual, great food and the staff as ever friendly polite and helpful. See you again very soon. Phil
Elmas Restaurant – LymmExcellent food but unfortunately the prices have risen in the month since we were there last time The Black Pudding stack as a starter was superb Good portion sizes too
The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichWe came for Sunday lunch on 10th May and it absolutely fabulous, we added cauliflower cheese pigs in blankets and stuffing balls. Everything was cooked to perfection. Staff were very attentive. We are back on Saturday 15/5/26.
