Excellent meal with attentive service. Food superbly cooked. Had steak and chicken both beautifully presented. Quite expensive but worth it!

Stayed in Grasmere for the first time and decided to eat here. Food great. Very nice vibe. Would highly recommend booking to eat here.

What a great place!! We had a wonderful dinner outside during the great heat wave of 2026 and it could have been a better evening. Delicious wine, a great setting, friendly service and yummy food. Highly recommended and not a thing I would have changed!

A little gem of a restaurant, with a warm friendly atmosphere. It was pleasing to see the menu had a great selection of gluten free options. The food was freshly prepared to order a was certainly worth waiting for and good value for money. The staff were welcoming and attentive throughout our visit. I would advise booking in advance to avoid disappointment.

The food was very tasteful and ‘just right’. All of the staff were brilliant. A pity we don’t live in this area and can be frequent customers.

They have Old Peculiar, which I haven't tasted for nearly 50 years and I may be back to taste it. I will not comment on the food, since we will not be eating any more of it. The staff are lovely, funny, lively and helpful.

Nicely presented Bistro. Staff a bit off hand. Food ok but my lamb rump was over cooked and the carrot purée was a mere smidging whilst the drizzle of jus was a smothering. Think for me was the 20% service charge. No one pointed this out they just asked if I wanted to add 10% tip on top!

We had a wonderful meal at the Grape and Vine. We would definitely recommend it. The food was excellent. We had a pizza and two plates, both very good indeed. Our servers were exceptional. Service was superb. Everyone was so attentive and welcoming and they all worked so well as a team, particularly in this hot weather. We cannot thank you enough. We'll be back.

Ate here Thursday 25th June. The two of us decided to do some small plates. We ordered 6 ranging from squid to the mushrooms which was all really good. We had some left over and Julie offered a box for us to take away what we hadn’t eaten. Tony sorted our table quickly while Cameron sorted our drinks all the staff are really nice and accommodating we visit regularly now and have had no complaints.

The pub was most welcoming and I had a most enjoyable meal. I was not rushed despite arriving just before the chef clocked off at 8pm

Lovely food, really nicely presented with ample portions. Waiting staff were quite abrupt and not terribly welcoming, although it was incredibly hot and they may have had a very long day!

As per usual food was delicious I had the black pudding starter and chicken and leek pie for mains my partner had the steak pie beautiful pastry and veg was cooked to perfect Lovely staff too would recommend when visiting Keswick

Had Sunday lunch here and as usual, the food was superb and the service was quick and friendly. Just a shame we were too stuffed to manage a sweet. Will definitely be back next time we are in the vicinity.
