Service excellent. Food was as always amazing. We always go back to la mezzaluna because its so good

This is our second visit here. On both occasions the food was excellent, the welcome, warm and friendly and the service was prompt. Most importantly, our little tank (staffie) was welcomed with much fuss and attention. A big thumbs up from us.

Lewis’s bistro offers a menu that is not overly congested with options but enough to get the taste buds tingling. The venue, the food and the service is overall, very good. Our table had the Beef Stroganoff and the Sea Bass. The dishes were well cooked, tasty with excellent presentation. My only slight concerns were upon leaving, when one of the local employees let her views be known about people from outside of Cumbria buying property in Grasmere. Whilst we acknowledged her frustrations, being labelled as “you’re one of them” felt a little unnecessary. Customer service is about your customers experience and your views should be private. A slightly sour note to what is a great place to dine.

Does what it says on the tin. A traditional pub with hearty, well-cooked, home-cooked food. Cosy pub with good beers. Very enjoyable.

My wife and I travelled up to Carlisle on a train trip and took a chance with a Lunch booking at Mezzaluna. The restaurant only a short stroll from the station. This is a small Italian restaurant and the staff were friendly and the service was good. We both ordered a chicken Messaluna which was well prepared and tasty. I ordered a chocolate Fudge cake for pudding which was excellent as well as being a very generous helping. Overall a great find for our future visits.
