The leg of lamb was really great and tender. Also the stuff and the chef were so nice. They still cooked for me even though I arrived after the last order. I just finished a trail running race near Keswick on a really tough, windy and cold day and badly needed a warm delicious meal and they were there to offer me the dinner
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithWe stayed overnight and had an evening meal and breakfast. The food was delicious and the service was amazing with friendly welcoming staff. It was great value for money for the room, food and drinks and we will definitely be visiting again.

We were a party of 3 sat right in the doorway with no room for staff and customers to get through so my chair was bumped every 3 seconds for 2 hours. Ordered chicken and leek pie but no leek in it whatsoever and soggy bottom and rock hard crust. Charged extra for mash when given the option of mash, chips or be potato’s. Such a shame as I took friends and had raved about the place. Very embarrassing as all 3 meals were poor.

The food, the atmosphere and the customer service was simply 5* Wonderful staff, I BIG shout out to Cosmina….she was fantastic! Looking forward to visiting this restaurant again in the future.
