Greyhound Inn Cotehill – CarlisleThe Pheasant Inn is a place to enjoy excellent food with a varied menu. We ate here several times in the past week and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious and generous food served by the very friendly and helpful staff. Use the online booking system to avoid disappointment as this is a popular place. Best place in town.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickHaving a brilliant time with great friends, great hotel, great food and lovely staff!
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeExcellent food and great service in this lovely restaurant. Juicy steaks and delicious dessert all very well presented.
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithWe booked this restaurant after reading reviews about it and were not disappointed, food was excellent, I had chicken supreme and and my husband had pork with crackling , the vegetables accompanying the meal were all cooked to perfection and a good selection. We treat ourselves to a desert and again we were not disappointed. All staff were very friendly and the restaurant had a good atmosphere. We booked in advance which I would recommend, we made our booking online, the process was very easy,
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereLast day of the vacation, celebratory meal for 6 assorted oldies on 1 July. Our son had recommended The Pheasant, having eaten here a year ago. Well, it was a very busy, very jolly Friday night at The Pheasant. They were short staffed, and the kitchen and waitpeople were run off their feet ..... BUT, the service was great (and happy and smiley), the meal was excellent (even though they'd run out of black pudding starter and chicken supreme main - I never mind that, it's usually proof of fresh ingredients!). The stars were the Hake, the Lamb Henry, and the Venison. Short, but excellent wine list, and (of course) a great array of very well kept local Ales! We'll be back - to celebrate the beginning and the middle, as well as the end, of our next vacation in Keswick!
Pheasant Inn – Keswickthis is at least the tenth time we have been there for a meal and drink ,the food has always been excellent and a good range of red wine and malt whisky and real ale , the staff can not do enough for you and where ever possible cater for all your needs , looking forward to be back in a couple of week
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeAbsolutely beautiful food in a lovely little restaurant staff brilliant and friendly Best meal we have had in a long time
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleAlthough we’ve stayed In Keswick countless times we’d never visited The Pheasant and it seems we’ve been missing out! We visited twice last week and both times the food was excellent. Everywhere in the Lakes seems to be suffering with staff shortages at the moment and it was obvious that they could have done with more staff at the Pheasant. But the young girls covering the bar and the table service were exemplary, friendly and attentive and I can’t fault the service. Thoroughly recommend and we’ll definitely be back next year!
Pheasant Inn – KeswickThis was our second visit this time for my husband birthday, very disappointed both myself and my fellow diner had to return our meals as the fish was cooked properly. The staff were very apologetic, but my husband and our other diner had finished there meals by the time ours were returned. Which ruined our special meal for my husband. The staff did reduce the price of the meals.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeHad a lovely meal the Pheasant on Saturday Night the Steak was cooked perfectly Yes we waited a little bit for the meal but they were very busy and the waitress was so polite and very efficient she was working so hard as they all were Will be back soon
Pheasant Inn – KeswickThe food was excellent- well presented and delicious. I had the French Onion soup and slow cooked pork , only problem - I was too full for a dessert - which looked great. The staff were all great , very friendly and helpful. You need to book as gets very busy . I’d definitely go again if in Grasmere.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereVery good service and very high quantity food standards and the portion sizes were very generous. Lots of games and activities for both children, adults and families to play whilst they waited for their food. Would highly recommend this pub!!!
