Disappointing is how I'd describe the meal we had at the Sultan. The venue is great but it's not that popular so there's no real atmosphere. Service was ok but nothing special. So to the food: poppadoms were ok but felt like they'd been cooked earlier. The accompaniments were awful. An orange gloopy sweet one, a red gloopy spicy one, an uninspiring yoghurt one, and some raw onions. Years ago any Indian restaurant would serve you mango chutney and lime pickle - this was way below that level. Main course lamb biriani was ok, spice level just right, except it came with a vivid red 'sauce' that had been made in a factory somewhere not in the kitchen. Again the memory banks are telling me that a biriani comes with a vegetable curry. Nope, not here it doesn't. This place needs someone to care about how poor it has become, and fix it, and fast!

Ate at Quattro’s for our wedding anniversary for the 2nd year. As usual service and food were excellent a I requested a nice quiet table and again this was accommodated and a lovely touch with the dessert. Highly recommend Quattros and not just for special occasions or a treat Thank you

Came here with my Brother for a catch up. Great food platter and wine, we had a great time. Would really recommend.

I would highly recommend The Lunesdale Arms. We had a group of 10 for a celebration. We had to pre book our food but that was no problem and the menu was varied and extensive. Everyone enjoyed the menu choices. The communication between staff and myself was done via phone and email and very easily done. Plenty of parking front and back. Lovely village location. Staff friendly, helpful and attentive. Meal absolutely brilliant. Starters of Spanish hash, chefs scotch egg, mussels, calamari and broccoli temporal where complemented and devoured. Mains were also wonderful. The mixed grills were huge but in our family there are some comparable appetites so the food was eaten. One person couldn't manage all their chicken kebab but staff boxed it to take home. All the food was delicious and everyone enjoyed the meal. Drinks were served throughout the meal and water replaced. We went on a Wednesday night and there were other dinners but the atmosphere was nice and not noisey so the conversations around the table were flowing and could be heard. If we were in the area again, we would definitely go again. We were all on a weeks holiday.

An excellent evening at Quattros. Service was first class with friendly staff. Menu choice was good. For our main courses we had a veal chop and stroganoff. Both delicious. We will be back.

We visited here on Sunday with friends who had never visited before. I booked a table at short notice but that was no issue. Pizzas were delicious and were enjoyed by us all. Great drinks selection as always. The guys behind the bar are a real credit to the business, friendly and helpful. The best bar in Chorley.

I booked here for an evening meal with my son. The food was excellent however the service was terrible. The waitress was miserable and did not communicate with us. The music also made it virtually impossible to talk as it was extremely loud.

We had a table booked for 16.15 on Sunday afternoon, but were advised when seated that there was no roast beef and no pizza available. This left us slightly disappointed considering it was the height of the diner time period! Furthermore, and after the server had served us with our first drinks we attempted to place our orders but at this stage we were then notified of further foods (sticky Korean ribs) no longer being vailable either. Although the server was full of apology we just found it unacceptable to run-out of foods or not have the full selection of the menu readily available, especially given it was prime time on a Sunday afternoon. Due to our experience we decided to move on elsewhere, but were left very disappointed as we were looking forwards to dining at the traders again after our recent previous experience had been a good one.

Great Food, Excellent Service great atmosphere Excellent Entertainment

Lovely pub been coming for years and really enjoyed meal yesterday afternoon. Only one thing as a vegetarian there is only one option , the cheese pie, and unfortunately you had run out therefore only had a starter, which was very tasty. My friend had the roast and said it was excellent. Staff were lovely and friendly. We will be back.

Food was delicious, friendly hosts and service, very welcoming and accommodating our requests. Dogs were made welcome too, we left happy, well fed and will return.

Our favourite restaurant and has been for years .fantastic food and wonderful staff. We would recommend to everyone and often do .

Another wonderful Sunday lunch. The lamb was amazing and the veggie options delicious too (eg the veggie parcel). The staff handled with great diplomacy an extremely demanding and unpleasant woman who wanted the table that had been prepared for us. The waiter apologetically asked us to move which we happily did, to an equally good table and area, and quietly gave us a complementary drink and desert. Impressive. Personally I'd have thrown that party out of the place. Who needs people like that? But the staff at the Lunesdale Arms are far more professional than me...

I took my family to celebrate my son's 16th birthday. He specifically requested the beef & onion pie. Everything was great, quality, service, location. And the beef and onion pie is outstanding. It remains our go-to special occasion pub
