Lovely food, great atmosphere and wonderful attentive staff. Great menu with something for everyone.

Friday night catch up with a friend, the place was buzzing, glad we booked. Staff were attentive, professional and friendly. Food was tasty , great cocktail, will definitely be back.

This was a Friday night birthday meal with excellent service and food (if rather large portions!) We were pleased to find that soft drink costs were very reasonable, given the rip off prices charged in many venues. Excellent: would recommend!

Sad to say this was a very disappointing meal. Badly prepared food this week - confirmed that a sou chef/junior chef had made the lunches. Greek salad contained more than 100grams of olives - you had to fight through the olives to find anything else. Fish pie was overcooked - completely dry where all the sauce had boiled out. We will be taking a break from the Lunesdale until we hear that is a proper chef at all times - Staff were lovely. I think the review from "Caroline and Joe" below is a fake "masterclass in modern gastronomy" - clueless.

We discovered that the restaurant at the local Premier Inn had closed so The pub, about ten minutes away was one of the local options. Lovely historica country pub with an excellent selection of food available either from a bar menu or full sit down restaurant. We tried the bar menu and thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Amazing food, good selection and plenty of it. The Staff couldn’t do enough for us moved our table when they realised my grandmother had mobility issues and were constantly checking in. Thank you all

Had a pizza starter between us was pretty decent tbh a little greasy but overall good. My partner had a lasagna and rated it 6/10 I had a carbonara and couldn’t eat it as it was quite salty a rich.

This is one of my parents favourite places, spent the afternoon there celebrating my Dads birthday. My Dad enjoyed several pints of the Ploughs finest Thwaites Amber brew….

Great food and amazing staff!

Sadly this is the second disappointing visit in recent months. Today we arrived at 7.15 and waited for 20 minutes for drinks. We then continued to wait for our order to be taken. After another 15 minutes the waitress informed us there were a large number of items unavailable. When we visited on a Sunday a few weeks ago, by 5.30 there were no roasts left. Neither was there fish pie, lamb or mixed grill. Both times we ended up with burgers which were ok but not what we had gone for. Very disappointed and will sadly not be giving it a third chance. Plenty of other local pubs and restaurants that we currently feel are providing a better service.

Took my friend for her birthday , food was excellent we both had monkfish, clams , mussels & prawns in a garlic sauce . The service was great & friendly lovely atmosphere. I would highly recommend going.

An absolutely delicious freshly made meal was enjoyed by us all. My husband had the bacon chop, our friend the chicken Caesar salad and I the beef brisket and pancetta roly poly. Our two puddings were the honeycomb cheesecake and dark chocolate and banana Eton Mess. Each dish was an absolute joy to eat! Clearly quality ingredients and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere was warm and inviting … and all the tables were full. We will definitely look forward to returning. Thank you for serving beautiful food (and at sensible prices), it is appreciated.
