Great views over the duck pond, and nice outside area, appears to have been tidied up recently. Lovely small modern lounge at front for drinks. Food and service were both fabulous, thanks will be back soon.

Very pleasant venue with extremely pleasant staff. We only had a teacake and a drink. ( to be totally truthful have had better teacakes than those) but we had an enjoyable time and would definitely come again.

We had the early-bird 3-course evening meal - what a great deal. High quality food, friendly staff and good service. Plus excellent value for money.

Wonderful meal on a couple of nights. Booked with no problem and such a lovely atmosphere as well as the service. Stayed in Trawden in an airbnb and was just a minute walk away. Brilliant place to finish your day of exploring.

Great food. Had 2 starters and a pudding. Delicious. Husband had starter, main and pudding. Wine good. Ate outside to get the best of the weather. Would be better if there was a smoke free area as it would spoil our meal if we were next to a smoker or vaper. Love Quattros. We are lucky to have it nearby.

The pies and fish dishes are especially worth trying. Service was attentive without being overbearing, and the whole place feels welcoming and relaxed. Great selection of drinks too. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area — we’ll be back! The pub is highly rated by visitors for its food quality, generous portions, welcoming service, and cosy atmosphere. Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. We returned back to celebrate our marriage on 21st May 2026 with friends and family after having our 1st date here 43yrs ago. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. The staff were very welcoming and made us feel comfortable throughout our visit. The atmosphere was lovely and we will definitely be returning. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quaint pub with excellent food and service. Thank you to the chef and everyone involved.

Food absolutely delicious. Could not fault any of the courses. Dined with friends and apparently the best rib eye steak she's ever had. The fillet steak tagliata was to die for. Staff very friendly and pleasant. Overall an excellent experience with fantastic food and service. Will definitely return.

Visited The Dog Inn to celebrate my daughters Birthday Sunday 24th May. Beautiful village pub/restaurant and community owned. The food was brilliant with really friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Great portions. We recently moved to Lower Darwen from Manchester and are still exploring, but this is definitely our favourite place to date. We will definitely be returning and they have some great meal deals, such as Burger Wednesday and Chippy Tea Friday, can't wait to try! Thank you for making our visit so special x
