Lovely meal. Great value and friendly staff.
Pissarro’s – HastingsReally good vibe, fantastic decor and layout. The food was tasty and very very well made. My partner and sister really enjoyed themselves and the fact they are dog-friendly , made the atmosphere really helpful for us. We will be looking forward to going back again.
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyePerfectly nice, if not outstanding food - suffers a little from cold unwelcoming service . The service was efficient but perfunctory. Strange for a neighbourhood restaurant!
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaLovely tasty lunch, interesting menu. Everything was fresh and piping hot and beautifully presented, will definitely go again!
Ancient Grains – EastbourneWe were celebrating our 8 year wedding anniversary at the pub and we were delighted. The food was great, delicious and fresh. The scallop especially was incredibly fresh and had great taste. Service was great as well. Loved the concept of fresh farm-to-table like menu serving dishes with ingredients available according to seasons.
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeBooked this for lunch for a party of 6 of us,2 or 3 weeks ahead because we'd found before that its great reputation meant that it tended to get booked up. One member of our group is a bit of a connoisseur of seafood and is also no mean cook himself and was in agreement with the rest of us that it was the best meal out we'd had in ages. Some people have said it's expensive here, but we all thought it was excellent value considering the quality, quantity and culinary skill involved. As a group, we dine out at places in West and East Sussex at least once a month, and we all agreed that the spend per head for often indifferent food at most places is probably above 80% of what you'd spend at Into the Blue for something that's truly memorable. As the Terminator famously said...."We'll be back!".
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaHaving recently moved to this area, I'm thrilled to find this wonderful place on my doorstep. Great food served with warmth and efficiency; excellent, reasonably priced wine list; knowledgable and accommodating on allergens, comfortable, attractive dining space. What's not to love? From the oysters to the chocolate fondant, we loved every mouthful...
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaOur first time in this restaurant won't be the last. The service was lovely, the food good, and our veggie friends had a decent selection of dishes to choose from. Another plus was that we were seated at a cozy banquette table that allowed us to easily chat. Great place.
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaAlways a great meal here - although I miss the pizzas. Great atmosphere and service. My only complaint is that some of the seating is tight. But we moved to another table which was fine.
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeHad a terrific birthday celebration for my wife… great food , music and service . Bar staff brilliant Food brilliant Music brilliant The Acoustic Joes . We will be back !
Barnaby’s Lounge – HastingsGreat food for our Sunday visit to the area. Sunday roasts were good and the atmosphere was warm and inviting.
The Globe Inn Marsh Rye – RyeHaving been to into the blue before we knew just how good this place is. They didn’t disappoint. Food was excellent and served quickly so all still very hot. The flavours in the sharing platter were incredible. Great wine selection too. We like a nice Spanish white wine and there was one at a very reasonable price. We will be going back soon.
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaA very special evening spent with two of my closest friends who came to visit from out of the local area. It was lovely. The whole experience of eating out was the best I’ve had in a while. Warm, relaxing & comfortable with such lovely staff who evidently care for what they do & for the food they provide. Thank you!
Ancient Grains – EastbourneAs always lovely welcome by Jacquie and sat at our favourite table. Two delicious lunches, curry & sea bass. Dave worked his magic on both dishes Will be back soon.
Into The Blue – Shoreham-by-SeaMacklins is always lovely: good food, good drinks and friendly staff - and right by the river
Macklins at The Riverside – PulboroughTreated my friend to a birthday lunch yesterday (27.01.2025}. Lovely lunch, good food, attentive staff, lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended. Will be returning.
Pissarro’s – HastingsLovely meal but the service took a while. The staff were all very polite and helpful but it might have been better if they had their own designated areas to save then doubling up on asking for orders etc. We enjoyed our meals and will be coming back
The Denbigh – BexhillMy sister & I had a lovely meal here yesterday. The food, Ale & staff were first class. Thank you, will definitely be back.
