We recently held a wake at the Plough. It was a large gathering but nicely accommodated as the restaurant was closed for us during the afternoon. The setting is lovely for such an occasion and created a fitting atmosphere. The buffet food was excellent with many people commenting on the quality. My biggest thank you is to Ellie who was the most reassuring young lady. She helped work out numbers to be catered for from her experience, ran the afternoon professionally from the background and is a credit to the plough.

Picturesque location, beautifully renovated pub, excellent super friendly service and lovely home cooked food - what else can you ask for! We are regulars now and really love every visit.

The staff and restaurant setting were lovely. Unfortunately, the meal wasn’t quite what I expected, as the steak was quite fatty. I probably should have mentioned it at the time, but I was there with a work colleague and didn’t want to affect the evening.

Pacinos is the hidden gem in Chester. A family run Italian restaurant. Honest food Freshly cooked Great choices including a specials board Dishes adapted for allergens including gluten. The pizzas are just remarkable The weekday menu of £17 for two courses which are the same portion size as the regular meals is an absolute steal. Great wine list. Nothing ever changes at Pacinos except for the specials board. Doesn’t stop us visiting almost weekly.

We all had a delicious meal, everything was beautifully cooked and presented. The staff were all lovely which created a very relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely be coming again. One of our group brought their dog who was made very welcome.

Four old friends meeting for lunch at this lovely country pub. Food was excellent , and very good value, service was commendable. We sat and chatted for several hours. We haven’t been to the White Lion for some years, always loved it and it’s even better now. We will be back soon!

My first time coming here as an extremely fussy eater, the Staff were so polite and welcoming. All of the food was divine and an affordable price. Highly recommend!!

We were pretty disappointed with our last visit ! There was 1 waiter working the tables. It was relatively busy with a few large tables .. I saw one table get up and collect their drinks from the bar they had been waiting that long. The food was lovely it’s just a shame the service wasn’t great.
