Panama Hattys Restaurant & Bar – TarporleyHad lunch on a Thursday with a group of 16 following a 5 ml walk. Everyone though food was excellent, our pie guru rated the pie 9.5/10. The staff were excellent as usual and served a large group very promptly. We will definitely return as a group and individually. Some members would have liked a wider choice of salads at this time of year,

A good balance of good food and drinks, that are well presented, with well trained staff, provides value and an enjoyable experience.

The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichBooked for 4 but tried to extend to 6 + highchair and space for buggy online. Only allowed to book up to 5 people, online, so did what they said and phoned. No response by phone after several goes!! Had to visit cafe early that morning to amend booking and nice young man explained phone not working but he could accommodate extra request. On arriving at 12noon found our table had already been booked out?? He did find us another large table, upstairs, but buggy etc had to lugged up there and down again. Suggest there is something very wrong with Sugarvine online booking form and all communications. So, not a good experience this time. Shame!

Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldNice afternoon tea and good selection of sandwiches and cakes. Atmosphere a little lacking and service could have been a little more attentive - for example we had to ask for our Prosecco and a top up of our tea! The place could also do with a clean (whoever cleans the mirrors and glass tables needs to be sacked)
