Another exceptional meal with excellent service
Pacino’s – ChesterWent for my mums birthday, turned up and went to sit outside, it had rained the night prior so the tables were wet but none of them had been prepared for service, when we asked the waiter to wipe the table he didn’t really do much so we asked for towels to do it ourselves. The wrong drink was brought out to us, as well as the wrong breakfast item. It wasn’t busy so not sure how they got it wrong. Also, not sure why they have a table in a place where they need to squeeze down the back of your chair with rubbish to go through the back door. The croque monsieur was so tough you were unable to cut through it with their normal knives. Overall, decent value considering we jumped on the midweek deal, but we had to ask for this as it was not advertised anywhere and the menus were dirty and sticky. Half decent food. Poor service.
Cafe De Paris – NantwichHad 2 evening meals there with my wife while staying at the hotel. We found the food in the restaurant to be excellent, particularly for a hotel. Staff were friendly and efficient. Lovely comfortable room. Very enjoyable experience.
Mere Court Restaurant – KnutsfordFirst visit but will not be the last, everything was superb,we had early bird special,Excellent choice and quality of food.
Elmas Restaurant – LymmWe visited here as we were staying close by. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The pub was quite quiet , however it still had a nice atmosphere. There was a great selection on the menu and the food was delicious. Good variety of drinks and all at great prices. Would definitely recommend and would definitely visit again if in the area.
The Carriers Inn – FrodshamWe had a lovely lunchtime meal yesterday . The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and reasonably. Our group will visit again
Spinner and Bergamot – NorthwichFirst time visit and we'll be coming back. We booked an afternoon tea for 2 and were thoroughly impressed with the staff, the layout and the whole atmosphere. Harriet on reception greeted us with a smile and pointed us to the restaurant where we were met by Kian, who was lovely and could not do enough for us. The afternoon tea was delicious and just what we needed. After we requested to see some of the rooms, as we wanted to come back, Harriet took us on a tour of the hotel and rooms. We have decided to book and bring friends.
Mere Court Restaurant – KnutsfordWe are new to the area so still finding our feet with the pubs . It was very disappointing that when we sat down we were sat next to a very rowdy table of 12 people you literally couldn’t hear yourself speak . The young girl came to take our food order and unfortunately there wasn’t any Sunday roasts left at 6 pm , think the rowdy Table had them all !! This seemed to be a theme throughout , as we went to order a bottle of wine and they had ran out of it ! Didn’t ask if we wanted anything else in its place . Which I thought was very ignorant. The food itself when it finally came out was lovely but at that point I just wanted to eat and get out . As my head was ringing . Sorry Alvanley we won’t be coming back
Alvanley Arms – TarporleyService was really good and the food was fantastic especially the Sunday lunch. Can’t remember the ladies name but she lives in Winsford and she is a credit to the restaurant
Alvanley Arms – TarporleyRegularly have Sunday lunch Excellent choice and food preparation Cooked to perfection Healthy sized portions
The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichWe usually have Sunday lunch at Plough - and quality is usually good - however yesterday 16 August main course was shocking! Looked like it had been thrown on plate Yorkshire pudding was hard and inedible Turkey was sloppy and awful beef was tough roast potatoes shop bought and weren’t cooked properly - the redeeming feature was spotes dick dessert - good -we will return for lunch but 3 strikes and we won’t be returning!
The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichNot been for quite a while but as always a very pleasant welcome and relaxing surroundings. Food and service both great would certainly recommend a visit
Panama Hattys Restaurant & Bar – TarporleyFood fantastic staff lovely highly recommend the steak pie

Pacino’s – ChesterOn arrival was told to go and seat ourselves, wrong table number was given as it was already occupied. Dining room was small and packed. Very busy and not good for people with anxiety or just those who don't like hearing other people's conversations from the other side of the room. It was 20 minutes before our drinks order was taken, we had to ask to order food at the same time. 25 minutes until our starters arrived and not quite as described on the menu. For a company that owns other pubs in the area, you would expect consistency of food quality and staffing. Unfortunately, it differs greatly, and this is one place we won't be returning to.
Alvanley Arms – TarporleyWell we have been a few times now to Pacinos and the food has always fresh and well presented. It's our go to Italian in Chester. The staff are always attentive, polite and friendly
Pacino’s – ChesterAnother excellent meal, the take on a summer surf and turf a great idea, well done. The French onion soup was different to previous, wonder whether that’s a summer feature? All in all great service, value an d setting
