Called in on the way home. I had a hot chicken sandwich, which was really nice. My Mum had the steak pie, which she said was delicious. The staff were lovely, and the pub was really nice and friendly. I have been many times as I have always had lovely food and a lovely experience.

Having booked for a group of us, and having studied the Christmas menu, we were disappointed on the day not to be able to chose from that menu. Apparently we had to book in advance, and yet despite a number of confirmation emails of the bookng nowhere did I see we had to chose in advance. The food we had was fine, but not what we were hoping for.

Our favourite place. Excellent in every way. We have NEVER had a bad experience. A family favourite for all ages

Great pub with excellent food., good beer and friendly staff. Be aware though that children can’t eat inside the pub, so not really young family friendly.

We visited on 19th dec 2025 for lunch well what can i say the food was very tasty the only think was i had the chicken dish and didn't come with veg which for me was a little disappointing, the staff were lovely, look forward to my next visit

Visited with family for a meet up before Christmas. Great atmosphere..warm and welcoming environment. Staff were fantastic and attentive. Food was delicious and very good value for money.

Food and service was excellent

Always love coming here , . Food was, as normal fantastic, cooked just right with great flavours. Staff are very friendly too. Really couldn't fault it .

Went for lunch with friends, greeted by a friendly team . Had starters and mains which was delicious. Only criticism being I opted for the roast chicken which was cooked perfectly with plenty of sauce but, lots of potatoes and only a little spinach, would have been perfect with a little colourful veg. Service was great always enjoy visiting the Plough

Delicious food and staff really friendly

First visit for Sunday lunch with a friend and we were not disappointed. The pub is comfortable, warm and inviting. Plenty of choice on the menu and all staff were friendly and helpful. We both went for the roast beef and it was one of the best Sunday dinners I’ve ever had. Will return soon as this pub is a little gem.

Great service & lovely food Wine a little overpriced in my opinion.

The service was excellent...not polished but attentive. Overall the food was well presented, timely and was good although my liver was woefully over cooked so was dry and tough. Our party of 6 all enjoyed lunch and found the food to be reasonably priced What spoilt the event was the eye-watering cost of the wine!! £28 for a average merlot that had to be sat by the fire until it warmed through, really??? You are a pub that serves good honest pub food, not a gastro pub!
