Good fresh ingredients, nicely cooked.

As ever a lovely meal in a very convivial atmosphere with excellent service and food.

Have been going to Pacinos for many years. We hadn't been for a while due to ill health. Went on the 26th November for Anniversary meal, excellent excellent meal and staff.

Three of us had dinner on a recent Wednesday evening. The White Lion used to be a reliable destination for really good cooking at any time during the week. Now it seems to be a lottery. Our food this time was merely ok. The pub hasn’t really regained the standard it operated at before Covid. Two of us asked for steak…medium done. They were both overcooked. We didn’t complain but now I wish we had. The meat was quite tough. My Irish coffee was bitter. I think some training is needed on how to make these. Staff were pleasant and our food arrived promptly. Overall a dispiriting experience.

Used to be regular visitors when we lived in the village and really enjoyed our visits. Fast forward 8 years and Mike and his team still delivering impeccable food and service! Thanks for a great evening and won’t leave it so long before our next visit!

First visit and will return. Greeted by a lovely waitress who sadly ended her shift and said farewell before we could tip her. The only disappointing part of the Afternoon Tea was the cakes they looked like pieces that someone pinched off a cake they weren't what anyone could call portions/slices. So didn't match the quality of the sandwiches and fresh warm scones.

Great traditional restaurant with food and service the way it should be

Excellent from start to finish. Service and food were excellent .This is our 3rd time for afternoon tea .Can not fault it.

My friend and I went for afternoon tea. Despite only living 20 mins away we'd never been before. What a gorgeous place, especially now with the Christmas decorations. We want to come back just for a drink in the bar area. It looks so welcoming and cosy. The afternoon tea was delicious. Worth a visit.

Ate at the Carriers Inn yesterday evening (24th November )., and again today at lunchtime. The food was both plentiful and very tasty, and a nice hand pulled beer to accompany it. Spoke to one of the managers after our meal and they assured us that the meals were prepared and cooked in house. The dining area was lovely and clean and reasonably busy considering the time of year. We took advantage of the 50% off deal which made it great value. Staff were very attentive and polite. Going back tomorrow.

5 of us had a meal here on 21/11/25. As always, staff excellent, food lovely and plentiful. The place itself is lovely, especially at this time of year. It would be nice if there were a few more gluten free options on the menu, as it's a bit limited for me, but obviously this isn't something the staff have any control over and it won't stop me eating here again.

Lovely family birthday meal for my son. The restaurant was welcoming and warm. The restaurant staff gave us just the right amount of time to make our food choices, and were friendly. I had the chicken massaman curry which was delicious, a generous portion and definitely value for money. My son had the sriracha kebab which he enjoyed, and husband the half roast chicken with piri piri sauce. Highly recommend Panama Hatties, never had a meal we haven't enjoyed

Had a nice Sunday lunch with family, the vegetarian sausage had changed recipe since last time though, still perfectly nice but not to my taste, prefer the original. Staff lovely, prompt service and good quality food.

Hi myself my Wife came with my Grandson & his Fiance to your Restaurant on Sunday 23rd November. We we're greated by nice friendly staff & show to our table. The service was very good, however,the 1st thing my Wife noticed that it was cold in the room. We ordered our food,which arrived quite quickly. So happy with the service. My Wife ordered Fish & Chips, & said that the fish was very dry & the batter was like cardboard. We didn't complain as it's not what we do. But would just like to bring it to your attention. We used to visit your Restaurant quite a lot. When we lived in Ellesmere port,but now we've moved further away, haven't visited in quite a while,so we're really disappointed with the meal that my Wife couldn't eat. Apart from that we enjoyed our visit. Regards V Hall.

Booked an early evening meal here for my partner and 7 year old. The service was lovely and friendly, we were greeted warmly. The food came quickly, it was very quiet though maybe only 5 tables full (it was 5:30), food was fresh and the chips were brilliant! The pricing is similar to those around in the area, and worth it for the fresh tasty food. We will be back, thank you.
