Fabulous meal. We had the fruity curry and it was lovely. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the place was so cosy. It was our first visit and we will definitely be back again.

Elmas Restaurant – LymmExcellent service and food. I had the french onion soup which was delicious and my dad had croque monsieur which he said was very good and a large portion. Everything was fairly priced, staff were very friendly and attentive. It was busy when we visited but not too noisy and the tables are large and not too close together. Lovely atmosphere.
Cafe De Paris – NantwichLunch for four. Good food and great service.
Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldWe had a Saturday night meal, x4 adults. The food was good but not exceptional. Lovely bar area, warm and welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff.
The Poachers Inn – MacclesfieldPerfect place for a chilled meal. Friendly staff. Gorgeous food at a very reasonable price. Will be coming again. It’s a hidden gem of a place.
Panama Hattys Restaurant & Bar – TarporleyWe had an overnight stay at the hotel, before flying from Manchester. Meal was excellent, particularly the sea bass - best I’ve had! My husband had the chicken which was excellent. Very friendly, efficient staff. We were so impressed, we stayed for a bar meal of steak and ale pie on our return.
Mere Court Restaurant – KnutsfordNot as good as usual tbh. Half the piece of bread not toasted, no butter and a very small portion of avocado. Not up to usual standards which is disappointing.
Cafe De Paris – NantwichDelicious food, friendly service & a nice relaxed eating area. Cajun chicken penne pasta was the best + a tasty sticky toffee pudding with decent portions.
The Plough at Whitegate – Northwichbeautiful food and excellent service thank you very much defo recommend
Panama Hattys Restaurant & Bar – TarporleyGroup of 5 ate at alvanley arms a couple of days ago. While the food was great the service was not. Waitress was indifferent and unhelpful. We asked for soft drinks. 2 large and 1 small. They came but when we asked for more we were told they were all standard size. This was clearly not the case from the size of the glasses. 1 lady wanted half rice half chips with her meal. That was not possible but she could order an extra side dish of chips. She did this but it just seemed unnecessary. The dessert menu was a stained crumpled sheet of paper. And when we asked was ice cream an option ( it was not on the menu) we were grudgingly told yeah we could do that I suppose. We didn’t bother. Several of our group work in hospitality and were stunned at the attitude of the serving staff. Despite the food tasting good we will not be back.
Alvanley Arms – TarporleyExcellent
The Plough at Whitegate – NorthwichAfter many memorable visits, our dinner at Bacchus last Friday was, as always, magnificent. The culinary team's unwavering passion, innovation, and finesse shone through every dish, prepared with wonderful, locally sourced ingredients. The front-of-house staff were a joy, striking a perfect balance between attentiveness and discretion. Their service created a convivial, unpretentious, and wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. We recommend Bacchus without a moment's hesitation and eagerly anticipate our next visit.
