We have visited Grasmere many times but this is the first time eating at Lewis’ Bistro. We were pleasantly surprised. There was a cosy atmosphere and hearty meals. We will certainly be back.

We visited during the week and had a lovely pizza and my partner had 3 tapas. We both enjoyed our meal and the service was great

The food was delicious. One of the ladies in our party said she wasn't sure she liked Tapas food. Well before the end of the night was over she said she loved it.The staff made us very welcome and made it a wonderful night. Will go again when next in Carlisle. Thank you to all the staff.

Warm welcome from the staff & the roaring log fires. Great ambience. Wonderfully varied menu and good portions. Food was excellent. A great selection of real ales too. This place is a gem, and the place to go to get great English food in an traditional Lakeland pub. We’ve been visiting for years & will continue to do so. Best hearty meals in Keswick by far!

Once again a delicious dinner at horse and farrier. Featherblade beef was wonderful and desserts delicious. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Meal with friends...wet Tuesday night...lovely greeting..Great table...fabulous wine. We had 3 small plates per couple and then each couple shared a pizza. Top class food and flavours as always, best pizza in Carlisle. We will be back its one of our favourite restaurants always have a positive experience, staff and service top class...thanks for having us

We were very disappointed compared to previous visits, the staff had changed so maybe ownership also. Steak and lamb rump were overcooked and not of previous quality. I noticed that neighbouring tables received rose and white wine straight from the open wine shelf, not chilled at all .

Went to Lewis's with my wife for a celebratory meal and thoroughly enjoyed it! Meal was beautifully presented. Service was timely and Value for money was excellent!

The Sunday roast was fantastic,everything had flavour and tasted pefect& staff polite,efficient & attentive

My wife and I were celebrating our Ruby Wedding Anniversary so it was a really important day for us. We were so glad a friend had recommended The Horse and Farrier. The Sunday Lunch was delicious. The roast beef and all the trimmings were cooked perfectly. The staff were friendly but efficient and the overall experience was excellent. Thank you.

Excellent carefully prepared food. Not especially expensive - might benefit from an itemised bill but otherwise I recommend this lovely 300 year old Inn.

We always love coming to this pub. The food is great and the staff are lovely. A new sandwich menu since we last went to the pub but very delicious, the chips are to die for!
