Just back from a wonderful 2 night break. The rooms are beautiful and spotlessly clean, the breakfast was fabulous and all freshly cooked to order. Dinner was delicious with huge portions and a fabulous choice. But most importantly by far was the amazing customer service, every single member of staff was attentive, friendly and really went the extra mike. It’s a stunning old building in a fabulous location, thank you for a wonderful weekend.

Perfect country pub with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The owners understand lighting and have candles on all tables, which makes a huge difference. The food was good too. Highly recommended!

Another visit to our favourite restaurant when staying in Grasmere. We look forward to the fabulous food & great service & we’re never disappointed. Thank you for allocating our preferred table too. We will definitely see you again later in the year.

Visited as a group of 4 on a Saturday night. Handy location in the city centre. Great atmosphere, fantastic attentive and knowledgeable staff. Varied menu with lots of choice. Delicious food and drinks at a reasonable price. Fantastic

We have eaten here for the three nights of our stay, the food and service has been exemplary. For the standard of food it is very well priced, as is the wine. We would highly recommend eating here.

The option for food here is amazing, so many options to choose from, my family and I had all had amazing meals with great service from the staff, very attentive and quick with food! Would highly recommend

We really enjoyed the spa, it felt luxurious with good facilities and friendly staff. It was a nice size and not too many people booked in during our session. We used a TravelZoo voucher which included a glass of fizz and lunch. The lounge area we ate in was very nice and the food was good. The waitress that was working behind the bar had very poor customer service skills and really looked like she didn't want to be there. An elderly guest tried to pay with cash and she was particularly unhelpful.

What an amazing Sunday lunch! Superb food with generous portions and all the sides you’d get at home! Best Sunday lunch we’ve had out. Loved it. We’ll definitely be back.
