A new find, and one we will definitely be coming back to! Lovely atmosphere for an evening meal and the best lamb I have had in years. Staff are attentive and friendly without being overbearing. We enjoyed the relaxed yet refined atmosphere and sense of history too. 10/10.

The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeMy friends and I enjoyed the delicious afternoon tea feeling very relaxed in your comfortable drawing room. Friendly and attentive staff. Thank you so much.
The Music Room Restaurant at Augill Castle – Kirkby StephenWe love the Wheatsheaf and the pretty village of Beetham, and consider it a local. The atmosphere is always good, but it’s also the right level of noise to have your own conversations. The food is consistently good pub food but the menu doesn’t change often enough for us to go more. Dog friendly, great service, tasty beer.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWe visited as a family of 6 plus 2 dogs for a birthday meal. Table felt a little small. Service was slow but not a problem, food was great, the best I’ve had for a long time. The starters were imaginative and punchy flavours, the pies of the day were impressive, lamb was perfect, interesting veg. Only disappointment was steak was slightly overdone to order. Slightly elevated prices were acceptable for the great standard of food Atmosphere great. We will happily visit again.
The Mill At Ulverston – UlverstonWonderful, lovely atmosphere, great service. We went twice during our week stay in Heversham.
