La Mezzaluna – CarlisleStaying at the Castle and have eaten here twice and both times the meals have been excellent. Good service, good food and great value for money. One of my daughters had the chicken both times and said it was the best chicken dish she had ever had!! High praise.
The Music Room Restaurant at Augill Castle – Kirkby StephenA fabulous overnight stay, the room was warm, cosy & great tv choice. The evening Sunday dinner menu is great value for money, staff very friendly and not over facing. The breakfast had a good choice, the poached egg & black pudding was cooked lovely. We will definitely be going back later in the year.

La Mezzaluna – CarlisleOur first visit for a very long time. At first, we were put upstairs, which we found a bit soulless but we were then offered a table downstairs. This was far better. The menu was very limited but two of our party had venison and two had fish and chips. We all rated the food excellent. Staff were very courteous and welcoming and though we took our time, nobody made us feel we should leave. Well done, everyone

La Mezzaluna – CarlisleVisited for Pie Night last week of January 2022. We love this restaurant and are frequent visitors. Since the new chef/patron took over last year the standard of food and service has improved hugely, and it is a delight to have this place in our little town. Pie was fabulous, and a smart choice for the January clientele. Family business too, so very happy to support that!
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithMy wife and I were on a short break in Penrith. We found this restaurant on TripAdvisor and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. The service was excellent and the food was top notch. I had the fillet steak. It was cooked to perfection and exactly how I like it (medium rare). My wife had the pheasant and again it tasted wonderful. All told a wonderful, relaxing experience and looking forward to our next trip
