You are ever rushed amd they give you time to decide what you want to order. Service is prompt but you are never rushed to finish your meal. Food is exquisite and done to perfection. I would certainly go back and experience the other dishes on offer.

This year we booked a table on 2 evenings and thoroughly enjoyed both occasions. Excellent food and wine, lovely friendly staff. We brought our dog with us both nights, and he was made to feel very welcome as well. Hard to find fault with this little gem.

Reasonable price too considering the quality. Staff are pleasant and helpful and they are happy to accommodate you with what you want. Would definitely recommend.

Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereEven though I had booked a table x 4 for 1pm, we found ourselves stuck in a corner on a small table with uncomfortable chairs. Issue was that there was an adjacent round able x 4 with comfortable chairs occupied by a couple with a dog. Why were we not put there and the 2 + dog seated on our table? They arrived just slightly before us so with a bit of forethought, it could have been managed better. Other than that, all good….
