Goody Blake’s – GrasmereThoroughly enjoyed our meals last Friday evening. This was our second visit. There is a great choice of dishes cooked to perfection. Staff friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend
Goody Blake’s – GrasmereWe, two couples (Smallwood and Ryder), booked for two nights The Wheatsheaf and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Two very pleasant and clean rooms, with super bathrooms, which appeared fairly newly decorated. Terrific showers. We had breakfast on each of the two mornings, plus evening meals. The food was excellent on all accounts. They catered very well for my wife who has to have a strict Gluten and Nut free diet, which again the staff, 'Callum' and 'Lucy' we very thorough and attentive to my wife's requirements. Both Callum and Lucy were so friendly and made pleasant conversation from the minute we walked through the door ! Also a shout out to a new member of staff 'Flora', (I believe was her name). So nice to be served with a smile from a polite young lady. We will definitely return to The Wheatsheaf Inn ! Thank you to all.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWe had an absolutely fabulous dinner and the food was delicious. My mother and I were also grateful for the accommodation of our eating restrictions and the clear communication on what accommodations were possible.

Pheasant Inn – KeswickFood was delicious Service was attentive And fairly priced for the quality!
Horse and Farrier – PenrithAmazing pub set in a quiet location. The pub is pet friendly. I like how they have split the pub between 2 different sides, the dine side and social side which has 4..... Yes 4 dart boards with a pool table. The bar and food service was brilliant. Highly recommend to all visitors. I would like to say a massive thank to Josh who looked after us and his little side kick James. Also if you catch it when the weather is good, it has a lovely beer garden. Best to book up on the website for a table as It can get busy. Complimentary to the chef who I never got to meet. Keep up the good work. See you all again soon
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsExcellent service and food. Been a few times and never disappointed. Will definitely return again when next in Grasmere.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe enjoyed an excellent meal! Superbly cooked and well presented food. Great service, not overly expensive compared to other eateries offering inferior food for similar prices. Would definitely recommend, and will certainly be going back when we next visit Grasmere.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereLovely food, friendly welcoming staff. Pleasant lunch on our visit to Carlisle.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleThis is a lovely quirky restaurant. The food was excellent, the ostrich fillet was a great success whilst my hot and sour chicken was beautiful. The service was great and there was a friendly atmosphere. Would highly recommend
