The fish platter was outstanding this was a meal in itself. The tapas was tremendous with the patron peppers a good choice All in all a really good meal

Had a beautiful meal for my partners birthday, friendly staff lovely food!!

This was the 2nd time we have eaten here so we knew we needed to book which we did. I had the salmon which was cooked perfectly and my partner had the steak again cooked perfectly, we shared a pudding which was delicious too. If we ever visit Grasmere again which I am sure we will we will most definitely eat here again. The atmosphere and staff are great. Well worth a visit.

Love this place. We stay in Grasmere often and always book a table when we book the hotel. It’s no surprise the place was full The food is great and the service really what you think about in a little Bistro genuine and personal Keep doing what your doing

We were recommended Horse and Farrier by our host at Barton Hall, Pooley Bridge, in 2023. We were impressed by menu, food and atmosphere. For our 2025 trip, we made reservations well ahead of time for two dinners. No word of a lie, we overheard a number of other tables mention that they make a point of dining at H&F when they are in the district.

Excellent as usual, food spot on, staff very friendly and excellent service.

The food was delicious & the staff were very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be returning & have already recommended Lewis’s to family & friends.

Unfortunately the meal was not very good, tasteless and really inedible. The pizza seemed undercooked and just too much cheese, the Carbonara had very little taste. We've been a few times but really not good this time.

Absolutely fantastic evening including my dog with amazing service and food!

Cancelled my booking (twice) and yet still received this feedback. I was staying very near to the restaurant which was rarely open & when it was it was devoid of customers. Sorry but I couldn’t face sitting in a bleak restaurant with hardly any diners.
