The food was incredible, service was amazing and the atmosphere was lovely. Definitely would recommend to anyone and will definitely be making this our favourite place to come again and again

Friendly service, fabulous food. Genuine Spanish ambience. Highly recommended.

I chose the duck, which was grossly undercooked, as were the limited amount of vegetables. There was a tablespoon sized portion of mash. I was very disappointed, and hungry after the meal which I had to eat as I was even more hungry when I ordered it. At £18 it is VERY overpriced!

Ate in restaurant 2 nights in a row and we weren't disappointed. Food was spectacular. The beef was best I've ever had, my thanks to the chef! The portions were very generous and the servers were so pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. I'd like to mention Lily our server on 2nd night who was particularly lovely and very helpful.

Lovely hotel, always stop there for lunch on our way to the lakes, staff have always been friendly and food always been good.

Amazing food and lovely staff, we went the same day we booked our wedding venue at the Morritt. Great experience!

Brilliant atmosphere Great service Lovely food

We booked through Secret Escapes. The hotel has such potential but is very tired and is in desperate need of some investment. The highlight was the food which was tasty and served hot and was excellent value for money. However the property was tired in places and the public areas confused and lacking in atmosphere. The restaurant and orangery were not inviting, the bar area was confused between a work hub and sports bar there was a complete lack of comfortable seating areas. Such a pity.

Service and food absolutely brilliant. Spoilt slightly by the party next to us who were so loud. Can't fault the staff and service however. Will visit again

I found this restaurant by chance as my husband was traveling on the Durham train line later that day. It was conveniently on the way from hartlepool. All I can say is WOW! This has got to be one of the best Sunday lunches I have ever had, and I have eaten a lot of Sunday lunches. The meat was perfect and all of the accompaniments where gorgeous. The roasties where sweet and perfectly crisp. The mash was creamy, the veg was fresh and well cooked and the presentation. I loved it with the huge pudding ontop. I chose an extra portion of cauli cheese and it was unbelievable. I honestly could not fault it. Great value too. 10/10.

First time here and will NOT be the last. Service was excellent, seated straight away. We had the happy hour menu, plenty of choice, food came out quickly, hot, very tasty and just the right amount. Came away feeling like we had a very good meal.

Food was absolutely amazing , great choice had the 3 course meal absolutely delicious each course and then breakfast the next day the best breakfast I’ve had staying away the food alone is a good reason to come stay again would definitely recommend and all staff are lovely

Popped into Antler for a drink and some food as it’s local, nice atmosphere, staff very friendly and attentive and were all working hard throughout my visit, especially Carly! Food was delicious and enjoyed the new choice of Thatchers on draught too!

Booked spa & afternoon tea package for my daughter birthday. Had a lovely massage ladies were lovely. The facilities are so tired looking in swimming pool/hot tub and changing rooms they could really do with updating. Afternoon tea was very disappointing, I don’t know if they were short staffed but we waited over half hour to be seen and then the afternoon tea arrived without drinks which took another 20 mins to arrive also. It’s a shame as I think this place could be a beautiful setting but it was tired and dirty.

I booked at table for 6.30pm, we waited 10mins to be shown to our table, the girl came and took our order for drinks then she said she would come back to take our food order, we waited well over 20mins, I had to catch someone in the end. We placed our food order, it took ages for our starters to come out, then we had to wait again for our mains by this time it was after 8.40pm, eventually the food came out, no complaints about the food it was lovely but we had to rush it down because of the time, we even asked for the desserts to take home. Can't imagine what it would be like if it was busy. We left just after 9pm, 2/.5 hrs for a meal is not acceptable, don't think we will hurry back, service very poor.

We stayed as a group of 4, for one night on the DBB deal. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The food was outstanding! The portions were large and it was excellent value for money. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would highly recommend.
