Excellent food and service as always

Excellent breakfast

The car park was packed, which I thought odd for a Monday evening. We were greeted and offered a seat and a drink. When our friends arrived we were shown to our table. Service was very good, very considerate. The food was excellent, I enjoyed my scallops starter and king prawns main course. The IPA draught beer was also very good. Altogether a very pleasant evening, well worth a revisit.

Table of 9 all agreed, lovely food, friendly staff, very clean. All round great experience. Definitely returning soon

We had a fabulous time, My Mums surprise birthday meal. 18 dining on the Sunday roast set menu. The food was delicious, the service was attentive and friendly and nothing too much trouble. My only moan is I wished you were served more soup for the starter and you need to buy in some sauces . The steak was lovely and pink and the lamb shanks were delicious. The chef even made my mum a special (off the menu request) for prawns her favourite and omg they were amazing!! We had further guests come down after we had finished dining for drinks and a big slice of birthday cake, again staff were accommodating regards plates and serviette’s and we got a bonus 20% off the food bill. Everyone was impressed and would highly recommended CDJ the decor was beautifully done, toilets were spotless and just a really lovely venue. We can’t wait to return. Thank you CDJ for making my Mum’s birthday so special. Xxx

Sunday for lunch: the usual 5* experience, and very good value. The Fegatini (chili chicken livers)were delicious, the mushroom soup unusually creamy. Main courses were cod in tomato sauce, and salmon pasta: beautifully cooked, generous portions served very hot. A perfect meal. We can't work out why more customers were in there, though it was a very cold day.

Went for a family Sunday lunch. Great choice of Sunday roasts as was the usual menu. Roasts, cheese pie and trio of pork burger were great hits. My son picked from the kids menu for both main and dessert. He is 10 and portions were very good and he left full. Issue from the kitchen meant the burger was delayed but staff sorted and were very kind.

The food was excellent and very good value for the quality. The establishment is very tastefully done with the finer details such as high end crockery, cutlery etc. The staff were very pleasant albeit lacking in experience. I sat with an empty wine glass for a while and had to ask for another glass which didn’t arrive without a further prompt. Overall a great place with a fabulous menu. Will be back.

From booking to leaving after the meal staff are friendly , are table was opposite the open kitchen so we could see the chiefs working away we went on Sunday the 19th their was only the the Sunday menu to which I think is fine, the staff were all in uniform very nice to see for a change, friendly and professional throughout the meal portions were right on the button except the the desserts on the small side the meal was cooked to perfection as my wife pointed out to one of the chiefs on leaving, the ambience of the place is very good music was a tad to high but this did not take away from the evening, they have a very good team working together tables were cleared and cleaned straight away and presented for the next customers we had a very enjoyable evening and will definitely be returning to try the mid week menu thank you and well done

What a fantastic afternoon with my family celebrating my birthday. Firstly the staff were all lovely, friendly and informative. They made it special, excellent cocktails to begin with. The food was absolutely fabulous every single item ending with an delicious tiramisu for me.

Great choice of food on the menu. Food always piping hot and plenty of it. Wine always chilled to perfection. Excellent quality ingredients. Sunday roast is fabulous. Service and staff also excellent. Cannot fault anything about this lovely pub. Its a real treat.

Best Sunday lunch I have ever had.

Great food, amazing, friendly service and very accommodating, would recommend

For the first time in more than a year, we booked a table at 6pm last Saturday to enjoy an evening meal. We were made very welcome, and as one of us is wheelchair-bound, we were given a table on the level floor. Our meal was excellent, we each had three courses and a couple of drinks, and the price was very reasonable. The girls serving us were friendly, helpful and hard working. We hope to return soon !

Came on Sunday, it was freezing cold outside, but really warm and inviting inside the pub! Warm and friendly service and the food was outstanding, especially the pies and nut roast!! We will be back.
