Perfect for our anniversary
Toms Table – ClitheroeVisit Papas once or twice a month Food- always nice no issues. Service - a complete miss this week, male waiter ne er smiles or interacts unless absolutely necessary. Asked if we wanted desserts then midway through ordering he just walked off - cut me dead then returned a few minutes later and said “what was it apple pie” so he did hear a bit of the order but did just walk off … he’s ignorant and clearly despises his job and the customers.
Papa Luigis – ChorleyThe food was excellent and the service second to none. Fabulous environment. Would come back anytime.
Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterExcellent food and beer, pleasant staff. Unfortunately the evening was spoilt for me by the background "music" which had a thumping bass. I asked the waitresses twice if they could lower the volume or change the music. They readily obliged but each time the volume slowly increased again. I left the restaurant with a painful headache. I accept that I might have sensitive hearing but why does this type of music need to be played, it had more in keeping with a gym fitness class than a restaurant. Why not play something more soothing and relaxing? I have eaten here on several occasions but am now reluctant to return in future.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleNice ambiance, good service , lovely food, well presented.
3 Millstones Inn – ClitheroeWe took the last booking of the evening, arrived in plenty of time but felt rushed by them from the start. Their main interest seemed to be for us to eat and leave quickly. The meal was mediocre. Frozen chips. The surroundings seemed lovely, for the short time we were there. We paid our bill and the waiter had the cheek to ask if we wanted our change or not!
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallWent for lunch, table ready when we arrived. Surprising wide menu choice and great value fir money. Had the chilli chicken sizzler which was delicious, wanted to try the dessert menu but didn't have any room for it, sadly as the desserts sounded yummy. The staff were friendly and attentive but not intrusive. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallSuperbly cooked food, immaculately presented. Fantastic friendly service. We eat here regularly and we are never disappointed. Highly recommended.
Quattro’s – OrmskirkIt was our first time visiting this restaurant for our daughter’s 14th birthday. It was a super lovely evening, the staff were so friendly and attentive, the food was delicious, beautifully presented and lots of it! For desert the staff sang happy birthday for my daughter which was lovely. Highly recommend this place and we will be going again, Jenny
Papa Luigis – ChorleyWe really, really wanted to love the Ship, we have popped in before just for a coffee by the lovely fire. The two lamb dishes were not available which left a very small choice of meals unless we had wanted a burger. No sign of sea bass as seen on reviews. The food seemed really average, the chicken and leek pie was stodgy and the chips were disappointing. The gammon had quite a lot of gristle which we took home for the dog. The coffee was also not the best. The staff were amazing, friendly and attentive - I felt sorry for them having to serve the food.
Ship Inn – LancasterGreat atmosphere, superb food and quality and a good selection of drink. Our favourite date night spot.
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallExcellent as always, we'll be back
Quattro’s – OrmskirkBrilliant Evening, food outstanding and staff fantastic as ever.....cant wait to visit again.
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallWe visited the Whitchaff with friends 15.06.24. We had eaten here several times and had recommended it to the friends we were with. When we arrived I confirmed the booking with the pleasant young woman behind the bar. There was a lady at our side of the bar who said ''that's your table'' and pointed to a small table behind her. I turned to my friend and asked her ''Is that okay for you?'' The lady who had spoken then said ''it's the only one I've got'' in a very sharp manner. My friend was clearly surprised by this persons attitude & I was embarrassed by her rudeness. There was another, bigger table for 4 available, but we sat at the one she told us to. My husband ordered a pint of beer. When it arrived it was extremely cloudy. When he asked for it to be changed the same person shouted over the bar ''there's nothing wrong with it - I've been pulling off it all day'' My husband - who previously owned his own micro brewery suggested that maybe the barrel was possibly empty, she stated there's nothing wrong with it, it will settle''. He was given another pint of a different beer & then we watched her pull 2 or 3 pints - all of which were cloudy & then go and change the barrel. I struggle to understand why a member of staff would argue across the room . I asked another member of staff who this person was and was told that her name was Sarah and that she was the bar manager. (just to make sure we have the right person she had fair hair in a short ponytail. ) Needless to say this really spoiled our evening, my friends were extremely disappointed & myself and my husband were thoroughly embarrassed for recommending the Whitchaff. Our bill for the evening was £144.30 not a inconsiderate amount I feel. The food was generally good as was the service from other members of staff. However we will certainly not be visiting again or recommending it to others. I would suggest some customer service training!
