Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleLovely as always. Tasty food, good portion size, beautifully presented as always.
Bread and Butter – PrestonExcellent food, service and ambience
Papa Luigis – ChorleyWe enjoyed our tapas specials. My husband had the jerk chicken risotto which was very tasty, as was the pulled beef taco . I loved the king prawns in batter, which were succulent and moorish and I was very impressed by the extremely tasty salmon fish cakes and their dressing We both had the chicken goujons and found the chicken and its fruity salsa to be very good. We shared some Cajun lime and coriander fries. As usual service was friendly, if quite slow due to the restaurant being very busy.
Bread and Butter – PrestonI took my friends to Bread & Butter on Thurs night for the tapas, the food was amazing, well presented and nice and hot. There was a good atmosphere and the staff were lovely, overall it was really good value for money so thankyou for making it a lovely night, I’ll definitely be returning!
Bread and Butter – PrestonFavourite place to dine ..enjoyed a 2 for 10 Tapas on Thursday evening..Food always amazing staff friendly and attentive but not overly so .
Bread and Butter – PrestonSo many staff but waited forever to be served. Not one of them had a smile. Waited so long for someone to come and take our dessert order we gave up and left. All the lights went off like a power cut and no one explained or said anything and we felt like we needed to go. Even the lady host wasn’t friendly or smile. We said goodbye and thank you and she never said a word. Won’t be going back.
Maxy Farm Pantry & Restaurant – PrestonWe haven’t visited for a while so was excited to meet up with family there. Booked a table for 1pm. Given menus and drinks served promptly. We waited 40 minutes for our food which consisted of a kids meal, a bowl of soup and 3 sandwiches. When the food eventually arrived the soup and one sandwich was missing. We were told it was on its way but then told it had been ‘missed’. We waited another 15 minutes for it to arrive by which time the others had finished their food. We got an apology but felt it wasn’t real. We were told they’d give us a cake in compensation which felt like an insult. The food was ok but not up to usual standards. My tuna and cheese melt was very dry which I didn’t mention at the time as nobody was available to tell
Maxy Farm Pantry & Restaurant – PrestonYet again it was a first class meal, service and atmosphere..! All of the staff must go to some super school or something as they are polite, knowledgeable and attentive..! I cannot rate the whole experience high enough. Thankyou..
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallWe booked a table for 3 in the bar area ( as this is dog friendly) and we enjoyed three lovely main courses and great service. Would definitely recommend!!
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleWe have been visiting the millsones regular for the past 18 years and would highly recommend, staff are always welcoming. The food is of an excellent standard, and the atmosphereis relaxed. Matthew and Lauren run it well and always try to accommodate where possible.
3 Millstones Inn – ClitheroeThe venue is lovely, but I am sorry to say, the afternoon tea was a let down. The bread on both sandwiches was slightly hard around the edges, which I was surprised at. The coronation filling was nice, but a cheese savoury just seems to be a weak choice for an afternoon tea - I would expect something more interesting. The sausage roll was good, but the salmon fishcake was boring and I felt again you would expect something more interesting on an afternoon tea. The cakes are mini, which is fine to me if they are exciting to look at. However a flapjack and a brownie was such a let down! I'd booked the afternoon tea in advance, but it felt like I was given what was available on the day. I understand getting a brownie or a flapjack, but both of them and a scone as the only cakes, just seems a lack of care for customers paying £22.50 .
