What a fantastic little pub. We loved our early evening meal here on Saturday evening. The atmosphere, decor and service was absolutely wonderful. All the dishes were lovely and the menu was seasonal and varied.
Horse and Farrier – PenrithWe were a large family group including one child and we couldn’t have had a better evening!! The food was wonderful, so tasty and served so quickly. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was really relaxing and laid back. We all enjoyed our meal( including our vegan nephew) and would thoroughly recommend a visit!! In fact, we hope to return when we’re next in Penrith.

Horse and Farrier – PenrithTen of us went for an early Christmas meal last week at H&F. Everything was excellent, the service, the food, the drink selection. I had a Christmas Dinner as I always do when I go out at Christmas and this was the best I've had. We had a veggie in the group and she reported that her suet pudding was the best vegetarian Christmas dinner she has had too! We even got a warm home made mince pie at the end which was delicious. Would highly recommend. 10/10
Horse and Farrier – PenrithThe Horse and Farrier was recommended to us by the receptionist at The Quiet Site, when asked for the best place locally to get Sunday roast. It did not disappoint, the food was delicious, and excellent value. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fabulous meal.

The young lady was run off her feet, trying to do 10 jobs at once but was very helpful and really tried her best to accommodate l. The chef that brought out the food was obnoxious and off hand. Food was very poor, cold and expensive for what we got. Will definitely not retum or recommend

Horse and Farrier – PenrithThis was our first visit to the Queens Head as we were visiting the area for a holiday. I booked a table and made mention it was my wife's birthday. We were warmly welcomed and the team had decorated the table with a banner and balloons as a birthday treat. The food was good and the atmosphere comfortable with a lovely open fire blazing. Service was very friendly but slow Overall an excellent visit and will go again
