Terrific restaurant. So good we visited twice in the week we were in Ironbridge. The food is inventive and delicious and the service is friendly, helpful and very welcoming. Great for all of us, vegetarians and children included.

Excellent food and great service from Ross and Kaitlin on Saturday night. Lovely atmosphere with just the right amount of live music.

Booked for my husbands birthday... we weren't disappointed. Food was excellent and they don't skimp on the sizes. I have celiac disease, so for me its just wonderful to have such a varied menu to choose from and things can be adapted for me, I can relax with my family in the knowledge of eating safely. We couldn't eat it all, so we had "doggy bags" to take home. Staff are friendly and want you to have a lovely experience. Nothing is to much trouble.

What an awesome pub and restaurant..!! Service was top notch, food was excellent and the atmosphere was authentic...! Loved it.

Incredible tender roast beef, beautiful sunday roast, very attentive service and a clean venue. Very good experience.

Went for Sunday lunch and it was excellent. Must be the best value for money locally as the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food on offer. We have been a few times recently and every time it has been excellent.

Food was absolutely gorgeous, we’ve been for Sunday lunch now about 4 times, very consistent really lovely, I do think some soft background music wouldn’t go a miss.

Another amazing meal, great service and all round great atmosphere

We had a lovely vegan and vegetarian meal. Started off with the buffalo fired popcorn cauliflower , it was lovely and the portion size was very good. We then had the pan fried nut roast which was nice and crunchy it came with plenty of seasonal vegetables and perfect roast potatoes. Edward served us , he was very helpful and attentive. I will definitely be returning.

Food was very nice that we had. Buffalo chicken wings were covered in salsa (not buffalo sauce) and as I had nachos for my main it was a bit much. Music from the kitchen was very loud and had to ask for it to be turned down. Kitchen had no sausage, no rump (so no mixed grill) and no chicken pies. Barman was a bit non-plussed and pub was virtually empty. Might try again but not sure

Absolutely lovely meal, perfect service and great quality. We visited a few months ago before the new management and were a little reluctant to return as our previous visit had been disappointing due to the length of time we had to wait for our food to be served (although it was lovely when it arrived). If anyone has a similar past experience then I recommend you try again as we couldn't fault it this time and will definitely return. *I didn't score atmosphere very highly purely because we were the only diners in the restaurant at the time, this may be as we booked a little early due to having a child with us.

I’m already looking forward to visiting water rat inn again…superb lunch and extremely friendly and welcoming….they went out of their way to accommodate our late arrival….thank you all so much

The food was very nice (could have been slightly warmer). However there were 4 of us and we all had roast pork but different sized meals! My husband didn’t get any red cabbage- we did request some but it didn’t come. I had more meat than the others. Perhaps when plating up more consistently?
