well what a find decided to change from our original booking at BW and what a good move that was the river rat omg beautiful pud / restaurant in lovely setting wonderful staff so polite helpful and happy just a short walk down the river to the iron bridge (-: we stay 2 nights and had dinner both nights over looking the grounds food was lovely and plentiful i didn't have room for pudding )-: breakfast was perfect served to your table and warm overlooking the grounds when we arrive we got our room upgraded at check in as they said there was an issue with our original room so ended up with our own private parking and a big room with private door . anyone who stays here will not be disappointed

We loved our dinner at The Elephant Crossing! The food was absolutely delicious and your waitresses were amazing and attentive! We will definitely be coming back and introducing all our friends to this place! 11/10

Lovely meal at the White Hart, all three family members ordered different dishes which arrived together perfectly cooked. Great wine and delicious puddings.

Visited on Saturday evening with my puppy. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Really lovely pub to have an evening meal (with your pooch). The food was lovely - especially loved the humous starter, salmon and seafood linguine. The waffles went down a treat too. We had a lovely evening and like say great place to socialise a young pup. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

Table of 6 adults 2 were gluten free. The service and meals were spot on. The real ales was really nice we will be returning

Really not great. Went for Sunday lunch and initially the service etc seemed really good. When the Sunday roasts arrived after a wait we were really disappointed that the roast beef and roast pork were both very over cooked. The Yorkshire pudding tasted like grease and waited 8 mins for apple sauce, horseradish sauce and some Extra gravy. Won’t be rushing back which is a shame

Just home from an evening here with my wife and the first time we’d been here. The service was excellent, the food was wonderful and the drinks were fabulous. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time and all moderately priced. We will definitely return in the not too distant future and cannot recommend it highly enough for a great night out!

It’s the first time we’ve eaten at your establishment and I can honestly say each and everyone on our table (5 of us) said what a wonderful place The atmosphere was spot on,the food was to die for and the service extremely professional plus welcoming and friendly We will definitely be seeing us again plus I mentioned to a few if my friends today who are also going to pop in

Consistently good! Been several times and the food is excellent and very good value for money. Just one tip I would give is to have a drinks menu so you know what’a available. Great service and very friendly staff.

Food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. Staff on the other hand were not attentive at all and seemed to lack the smile with a service, there were no pleasantries at all. Drinks were just plonked on the table and staff member just walked off
