Food was shocking ! Chicken for my Daughter came out raw and the dinner for my wife was cold ! My steak was burnt and they constantly came back asking what we had ordered for desert ! And they messed the drinks order up too ! Won’t be going back in a hurry

Food wasn’t too bad. Burger meat looked and tasted processed. So little disappointed by that. Kids chicken nuggets looked great with real meat. Service was slow and had to chase staff up a few times for things. I’d go back to try some other items on the menu though

Absolutely amazing!!! Took the Mums for Mothers Day lunch. Food was awesome, service was brilliant and Chloe our waitress was so helpful. Loves this place and will return. Thank you !!

Excellent atmosphere and great friendly service, food was delicious

A mixed bag some good things some not so good. To begin with they had lost our booking and given our table to someone else, but in fairness to the manager she quickly sorted that. The table next to us had 2 large dogs who were barking constantly, not a fan of allowing dogs into restaurants but definitely not on Mothers day. The drinks service was ok, although was charged £8.60 for a G+T, should have queried it don't like the practise of automatically charging for doubles when it isnt requested. The sunday roasts were decent , (no crackling with my pork though), excellent portions, although weren't overly hot and think gravy should be served separately. I like lots my mother doesnt like much and both were swimming in it. That was fine for me not her. Also a 40 minute wait for food from time we ordered is too long when we were all having Sunday roasts. The whole thing seemed very chaotic, I dont think the staff were particularly efficient although i would exclude the manager/landlady from that, shes very good. Would I go back ? yes possibly because the place has potential but they need to improve certain things that are easy to improve.

Food and matching wines were brilliant. We missed the waiters explaining the individual courses and wines. We had to refer to the one menu on the table each time.

Visited for a Mother's Day dinner. Absolutely outstanding. Great venue with exceptional service. The food was presented in exquisite fashion and tasted as good as it looked. Thanks for providing a fine experience for the mummy on our table.

Was a little disappointed. Steak was cooked medium rare as requested but...it was very, very chewy. Also my wife's pork belly was a small portion, hardly any meat , there was more cracking and fat than actual meat.

Had a wonderful lunch at The White Hart on Saturday . It was an early Mother’s Day lunch since you were fully booked for today ( our fault for not booking earlier ). The staff were charming and professional. The food was good ( but I ordered whitebait - and it was not what I had before - more like fish fingers smothered in sauce) however, the rest of the food was just beautiful and we had a really good meal and experience . Thank you xxxx

Fantastic service yet again, food was beautiful, our party of 8 had different food choices and all were great, Atmosphere was lovely Staff all very friendly 1000% recommended

Took clients from overseas here for dinner recently. Being used to good food they are harsh critics, but were highly impressed! Food excellent, nice ambience, waiters and bar staff couldn’t do enough for us. Will be sure to return in future. Many thanks!

Booked a table for me and a friend, when we arrived we stated this but got told abruptly to just choose a table. We were told it was table service and someone would bring a menu over but after 10 minutes no one had, so my friend went and got one herself. We then proceeded to sit there for quite a while before the waitress decided to come over for a drinks order. The food was lovely. However, the service really lets this place down. No one came to check up on our food, we weren’t offered any other drinks or deserts despite us being told it was table service and we weren’t able to order from the bar! We eventually managed to get someone’s attention for the bill but the same waitress proceeded to walk past us multiple times before bringing it over and then again for us to pay, so it took around 15 mins for us to receive and pay our bill. Overall, the food was good but service really let it down. We were disappointed.

The service was fine to begin with but as it got busier the service got much worse. We waited an hour after we had finished our meal to have our table cleared. In the end we did it ourselves. The food portions were a bit small, but the flavour of the pork belly and the calamari were incredible. Absolutley delicious. The batter on the onion rings and haddock was gloopy and not crispy at all, but because we could get to speak to anyone as they got busy, we couldn’t be bothered to complain. Over all it was lovely, just need to quality check the onion rings next time I go xx

Great meal, so well cooked, could really taste the level of smoke in the meat. Service very attentive.

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely meal here. The atmosphere was great, food was well presented and tasted delicious. Will definitely return and would recommend dining here.

The Smokey Cow is a lovely restaurant inside and all members of staff are so lovely and helpful. My starter was lovely but unfortunately my main was very bland. I had never had a chicken burger so tasteless. My other half enjoyed his beef burger so maybe avoid chicken products here. I would visit again and choose something else on the menu. We had to wait a while for our starters to arrive but mains came quickly after we finished our starters.
