Lovely Food, music playing bit loud, very busy so waiting for food
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordPoor quality, dreadfully presented spoonful of stew containing one piece of beef, covered in copious amounts of mashed potatoes and described as “pie”. Expensive and disappointing, our first visit will certainly be our last.
The Smokey Cow – TelfordExcellent in every way - staff were very friendly and helpful, atmosphere and decor of the restaurant was lovely and the food outstanding- thank you so much - made our weekend away extra special.
The White Hart – IronbridgeWe had a lovely meal last night. Friendly service and tasty food.
Water Rat – IronbridgeWe have eaten here several times and never had a bad experience food always exceeds our expectations it’s fantastic. Service and ambiance great , always leave happy. Thank you white hart.
The White Hart – IronbridgeWe had a table booked for 4 adults and a baby. The staff were amazing. The service was a little on the slower side however they were unexpectedly very busy given that it was a Monday. The wait was more than worth it as the food was really excellent. Especially the bbq chicken wings and the mud pie! Jacob (I think that was his name) was attentive despite being busy and gave my friend and I drinks recommendations. Thankyou for a lovely evening.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordMy wife and I had a beautiful meal here and we were surprised at how busy it was on a Monday evening. Service was great from the first moment til the end of the night, and the food was divine. If we lived closer, we’d definitely be back here regularly.
The White Hart – IronbridgeWe got off to a bad start when we told as we arrived that we couldn't sit inside as we hadn't said on our online booking that we were bringing a dog and there were no dog safe tables available. Nowhere on the online booking did it indicate that we should state that we were bringing a dog and we haven't had to do that before when booking. We live in Beckbury and we have been taking our dog there for years including just a few weeks ago and there was no issue about the dog at all then. Even more upsetting was the fact that the young lady who greeted us stated several times that the venue has always had a dog safe table policy (the meaning of which we still have no idea) since Craft and Jam took over the pub. This is blatantly untrue! We were also very disappointed by the number of items that were unavailable on the menu. leaving a quite narrow choice. We were given no explanation for this. There has been a marked deterioration in the quality of food and service over the last 12 months sadly.
The Smokey Cow – TelfordMy new favourite place to eat! We booked for Sunday lunch - and again left full and happy. Great value for money. The staff are always attentive and friendly. Who could ask for anything more?!
The White Hart – IronbridgeOur food was simply beautiful very tasty and the steaks were cooked to perfection! the staff were very helpful and well mannered and are a credit to the place .
The Bull – ShrewsburyCould not fault anything. We returned the following day for a drink in the beer garden and would make this our "local" if we didn't live 100 miles away!!
The White Hart – IronbridgeSlow. Adequate food and otherwise a bit poor.
The Malthouse – TelfordGreat food great welcome great service!
The White Hart – IronbridgeBooked a table with high hopes as we had had a great time on a couple of previous occasions. Table was booked online, initial greeting wasn’t friendly and no choice as to whether we wanted to eat inside or out. Fully appreciate that times have been difficult in hospitality but staff were either very inexperienced or poorly trained, certainly weren’t friendly and service was poor. It was a very disappointing experience and we left as soon as we could after eating. The lack or attention and lack lustre staff has put myself and family off visiting on another occasion.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordDisappointing food and service. Our table was booked for 5:30pm on a Saturday night and when we arrived we were told that there were no steaks and the one vegetarian meal on the menu wasn’t available, we had to chase our meals, desserts and bill and the meat was tough. When I raised concerns as we paid our bill, we were told they were short staffed - I’m not sure how the 2 girls found time to finish their private chat and twiddle with their hair if this was the case. And apparently, they don’t really cater for vegetarians because it’s a smoke house!
The Smokey Cow – TelfordMy partner had been telling me all about this place and how amazing the food was, so she booked us a table for Saturday evening, confirmation received and we drove 25minutes to the restaurant. On arrival it was clear the person tending to us was unsure on our booking and sent someone else to deal with us, he proclaimed to us that the booking system is sent to them and they have to confirm the booking by emailing the confirmation, as they hadn't becuase they had been so busy unfortunately we had no booking! Bear in mind we had the email confirmation in our hand on the screen showing it to him, he continued to say it was an error and sent us on our way. Was highly disappointed that an error on there part left us without a booking to eat and no where to go after a nearly 30 minute drive and there seemed to be no care to rectify the problem, to make matters worse, the cheek to then send us an email today saying " we hope you enjoyed your meal with us at the Swan, we'd love to see you again soon" please leave us a review? Shambolic springs to mind!!
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordThe Malthouse has gone significantly downhill. From the fact that the front is a DJ booth and practically like an overpriced Hungry Horse. The food was awful. Both steaks burnt, wedges/chips raw, garlic bread soggy, cocktail was watery and it very very loud. We ate, paid and left very quickly. The young girl that served us though was very patient, attentive, friendly and helpful.
The Malthouse – TelfordExcellent all round service and food was great.
