Lovely time just before Christmas, group of pals and food fantastic, and great service, love the sea bream

I visited the Malthouse for Sunday lunch yesterday after booking a table with you, the Sunday roast was as good as ever so and always good quality food. The disappointment came from the area we were sat for dinner, it’s was the room at the back of the pub painted green near the staff quarters door to upstairs. When we arrived there was a table of four already sat in the area, then we arrived and then they had an another person join them. During the whole of lunch it was loud shouting, screaming and foul language, nobody from the staff challenged them on this and spoiled the Sunday lunch it was a nightmare. Yes I swear but in the right setting but it was just relentless for the hour we stayed, just wanted to feedback to you because behaviour like this should be challenged and not accepted in a restaurant environment.

Nice food, but poor service. After being served our food we weren’t asked if we wanted anything else (drinks / desert) We went to the bar to order coffee, hot chocolate, Bayleys. They didn’t have any hot chocolate or Bayleys and we had to go back to the bar to remind them about the coffee. Very disappointing.

Family Xmas meal for 10 of us. Excellent service - prompt and friendly staff and welcomed on arrival. Delicious food from both the festive and main menus. Lighting and atmosphere good. Will definitely come again

Quiet night, felt rushed to go so they could close up . Food was nice. Coffee machine cleaned and shut down before we finished eating so we couldn’t have hot drinks at the end of the meal

Had a super time at The Smokey Cow. Food was delicious and the service was great. A lovely place that I have returned to on different occasions.

We had our Christmas party here for 40 people. The food was absolutely delicious and plenty of it. The staff and services were excellent and everyone enjoyed it all. Fantastic time and thanks to you all

The service from both J the waitress and the bartender was fantastic. The cocktails flowed and never stopped all evening. As they bought one over J took the next order. I would definitely recommend the venue.

Popped in with a friend for lunch. We both had the £15 lunch deal. Very good value for money. Food well presented, hot and tasty. Staff friendly and helpful.
