As much as this place looks nice the food was the worst I tried this year… and prices really didn’t reflected what we received on our plate! Let’s start from the chicken and Pulled beef Bao buns for a starter… Chicken had more coating than actual meat which is really frustrating. And don’t get me start with the Bao Buns… pulled beef the hint in the name right!? Instead I received the cut offs of roasted beef -chewy, no seasoning not even tiny bit of lettuce or something - but no! just plain Bao bun, soaked in sriracha sauce and chewy beef slice….my lips were still burning by the next day! Steak and chips looked ok but had to remind about the side sauce. I ordered the pulled beef brisket! Again! This is not pulled beef brisket! Pulled brisket should fall apart, melt in your mouth l, be juicy! I received in my plate same beef slices as I got in my bun ! Best thing about my meal was chips! Beans were cold as well. True disappointment! They either don’t had chef that day or this place go down the hill! And the bonus from all this me and my mates stomach wasn’t the bestest that evening after we were back from dinner.. what a Saturday! Owners should get back on track very rapidly! Otherwise it is close to disaster

We enjoyed our visit to the Queens Head , food was delicious as usual , we were served by a lovely guy who was so happy and friendly, which made all the difference to our visit. Thank you , we will be back soon .

Had a lovely Sunday lunch here, great atmosphere, food was very tasty, service great we will be revisiting.

Their roasts are always fantastic so took my parents for food from the festive menu, it didn’t disappoint , lovely place to Eat or just have a drink

Booked in for bottomless brunch and opted for the gorge menu at £54 so we could have the individual cocktails. Service was really slow had to ask numerous times if someone could take our drinks order, barman not very attentive. Time was getting on and I asked if we could order some more drinks and the barman said he will be back in a min to take the order and to clear some of the empty glasses the barman never came back just seemed to be faffing about around the bar so me and a friend went up to the bar and asked if we could order some more drinks as by this time I think our time had run out, i asked why he never came back to the table when he said he’d be over and he said he was too busy! Anyways he did let us order another round so that was good but it wasn’t our fault the time was over and that he was busy. There needed to be more staff on one barman is just not enough to have to deal with numerous bottomless brunch bookings and also have to deal with walk ins aswel on a sat afternoon in dec! Also the barman spilt over a tray full of drinks partially covering my friends coat which was on the back of her chair accidents happen I understand that but there didn’t seem to be any sort of apology. These sort of bookings get booked in advance things need to be prepped more for a better experience.

Excellent afternoon tea nice to have something different to traditional afternoon teas. All food was lovely , although one of the slider fillings was far too spicy for all of us. Would be nice to have a choice to avoid the spice.

Four of us ate from the Christmas Festive menu. It was all delicious. Service was good. Sad the pub was empty on a Saturday night? Puzzled because the food I would highly recommend.

On a cold wet night we had a warm welcome at the Water Rat where we enjoyed good service and excellent food and drink.

Delightful restaurant in the centre of ironbridge. Food was exceptional - i had the beef which was melt in your mouth. Staff were amazing

Usually very good meal especially Sunday lunches , but yesterday very poor at mid week lunch

Three of us attended for a Christmas lunch/dinner. Starters chosen were Garlic Mushrooms with hot sourdough bread, which was delicious. We all chose turkey for the main course. The helping was generous with the usual, quality, embelishments and it came with well prepared vegetables; of special note, the Brussel Sprouts were perfectly cooked and actally tasty. For those with room left, there was Eton Mess, (amongst other choices) made with really good quality fruits. The service was it's usual pleasant standard. We were very pleased, especially as it was one person's birthday.

The meals were excellent as usual and the staff were very friendly helpful polite and nothing was to much trouble. They are a credit to your establishment and would highly recommend your establishment to all my friends and family. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Sarah and the staff at the Water Rat are amazing, so friendly and helpful. The food is always great quality. The chips are the best I’ve ever tasted l, cooked to perfection. You can be sure of a very warm welcome.

We went here on a friday evening as a spur-of-the-moment date night with my partner. The pub was very nice, gentle lighting throughout and a very relaxed atmosphere with a log fire in the centre of the pub, warming us and drying us out on a typical winters night. We drank lager, cold and refreshing and the staff where lovely. I ordered a chicken, leek and ham pie, my partner ordered a cowboy pot-pie. The food was very nice although I received the 5-bean pie instead of the chicken. No issue was raised as I actually enjoyed the meal but this could cause dietary issues if a non-meat eating person ordered the vegetarian option and received a chicken pie. The sides we ordered where very nice and freshly prepared and we didn't have dessert this time but will be sure to try them on our next visit.

The food and drinks were delicious and the service was really great
