We met for a birthday lunch with friends. The chicken pie was fab, we would definitely recommend. Fish and chips also great, and husband said his burger was spot on. Good value for money and the staff were friendly. Simple pub food cooked really well.

Took my family for afternoon tea. The food was freshly prepared. The sandwiches where tasty and the cakes and scones where delicious. In fact, we had to take home a goodie box. However, the let down was no tea provided. I requested some for five people but only got a pot for two cups. The mugs provided where dirty and I had to give them back. They could only give me four cappuccino cups and a cleaned mug back and still didn't get anymore tea. And I was charged for the tea. So not a full experience for the charge stated. The staff where lovely and helpful but seemed to be very busy.

Food was good, the presentation was great. Only critique the jacket potato was a little dry and the initial meet and greet could be better. Overall a fantastic service and definitely worth a visit.

4 of us dined there for lunch on 29th March 2025, the service was very good and friendly, the food was also very good - different from your usual pub food. The room could have been a little warmer as there didn't appear to be any heating on but overaul a very good experience and would recommend.

Amazing staff and food. Book at table at 1828 to arrive at 8pm. When we got to pub there was confusion as the email service had not been check, so staff did not know I had booked at table. There was a little moment of silence as the kitchen had been turned off. but serving staff on bar and kitchen staff jump in to action and made my birthday meal amazing, food was out of this world. Well done to all staff.

Great Sunday roast meal with the family, lovely waiting staff with great customer service. Dog friendly too and would highly recommend. Thank you it was wonderful.

Been a few times on a,Saturday evening. Lovely atmosphere and,ambience. Food,pipping hot on warm plates!,(very important) . Excellent menu. Staff lovely and very knowledgeable about the entire menu.food (steaks) cooked to customers request. Couldn't fault anything. Fab place. Try it !!! Reasonable prices too. !

The food and service was great. We had a lovely time overall!

Took family for a meal early Saturday teatime. Callum was excellent for service and friendliness however the meals were hit and miss. 2 people had the steak and blue cheese ciabatta - the steak was chewy and no real taste of blue cheese. The steak on the surf and turf was also tough and that was ordered with blue cheese sauce which wasn’t a sauce. Chunky chips were overcooked on all meals.

Wow what can I say the food was amazing the steak was cooked to perfection and easy to cut . The steak amd Ale pie was superb and the staff were just brilliant couldn't fault the meal or even the stay there . Thank you for a brilliant stay . Will definitely be back.
