Lovely pub, enjoyed my meal but only thing that let’s it down is the staff who was on at the time i visited did t really look like they wanted to be there and could of been more approachable.

Came to the malthouse for a meal with friends. Got to say the food was really poor. The Mac and cheese was watery and had no taste. The hot honey friends came out with no honey very little melted cheese and five slices of sausages on it looked like a kids meal in a bowl. The kamikaze fries had lots of chilli and onion topping but very little sauce. The hunter chips had two pieces of chicken on. Overall the food was very poor and for a quieter evening at a restaurant you would expect better. Unfortunately poorly prepared and poor tasting.

Great little traditional pub. Good food and service.

To be honest we were disappointed this was the first time we had visited and after arriving at midday to be told only half the menu was available we thought was really strange the food was ok but with only one member of staff trying to run the bar as well as wait on the tables meant the service was really slow onto the desserts to be told no cheesecake no crumble no waffles as we were the first ones in for Sunday lunch whatever customers coming in after us were going to have was a mystery unfortunately this has put us off visiting again.

Lovely food and lovely views

Went for food on a Friday afternoon and was not disappointed. We both had steaks I had a ribeye and my husband had a rump. By the time we’re delicious and cooked perfectly. We’ve never had a bad meal here. Been coming for years

Really nice food again for the second time staff are so helpful

After being in far too much sunshine and being extremely hangry, my daughter calmed me down and we had a really very lovey meal. Staff were lovely at the end of what must have been a long and punishingly hot day, and the food was great. Thank you.

Everything about our visit was first-class. The server was very helpful and friendly, the food was excellent. We will certainly be visiting again.

This is a gem for people visiting the Ironbridge area who want to be able to choose from a lighter lunch menu. Many of the central ones seem to offer large items, which is not always what is wanted. Sensible prices, a good range and tasty home made dishes. Service was friendly but we weren’t overwhelmed by staff enquiries, which we appreciated. Good car parking are helpful and the view down on to the River Severn from the restaurant is great! Had we wanted to, we could have sat at the extensive outdoor area to enjoy the surroundings further. An excellent visit, will be back!

I have been asked by email to write a review of my meal at The Bull. Having booked a table for 5, including 2 visitors from Australia, I was contacted about half an hour by the Bull cancelling the booking. The chef had apparently been taken unwell. I then had to put up with an hour's diatribe by the Australians about how this would never happen in Australia. What is more disconcerting, though, is being asked to write a review about the dining experience, as I didn't have one. I had no food, no atmosphere, no service and no value for money hence cannot give positive marks for any of these.

Had a lovely meal with friends, staff were lovely and everything was lovely, they even cleaned up around us as we were the last to go and didn’t rush us to leave! look forward to returning.

Perfect place for our group to enjoy some informal smokehouse fare. Lovely atmosphere and the food hit the spot, was a pleasant surprise to find something so close to our remote accomodation!
