Small intermate venue, attentive service staff, fantastic food. What else can I say. Been here 7 or 8 times and many times to the previous premises. Mine and my wife's favourite date night venue.

Suree’s Kitchen – IronbridgeFantastic food. Succulent steak and a wonderful seafood platter. All in a nice relaxed environment. Good friendly staff.
The Queens Head – Oswestry10/10 beautiful cosy Thi restaurant nestled in the heart of Ironbridge high street. Small and personal. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Authentic food, great options I wanted to try them all. Amazing value 3 course for £40, we will definitely be returning.
Suree’s Kitchen – IronbridgeExcellent meal. Service was first class.
The Queens Head – OswestryVery friendly welcome and from first glance clearly a lovely place. Slight issue when starters served, but they couldn’t do enough to apologise - chef even came out. Starters, I had Chicken strips, my wife had the fish cake - in her words was “very yummy”. Mains for me was the Chicken, Ham & Leek pie - pastry was excellent, filling delightful. My wife had the Burrito and she said it was “very, very, nice”. Desert was a lovely Raspberry Roulade which we both hungrily dug into. Totally recommend and we both felt it was such a shame we discovered the Malthouse on our last night.
The Malthouse – TelfordThe mussels from the specials board were delicious My companions also their cod fillet with tomatoes and garlic The accompanying station bitter was also extremely good
The Queens Head – OswestryWe have always found the staff very friendly on arrival and quickly shown to a table where a drinks order is taken while we decide on the menu. On return with drinks the staff ask whether we have chosen or need more time. The menu and specials are very comprehensive and unusual in that there is more than standard pub food. The food on arrival was cooked perfectly and was very tasty. I had the gammon with sauté mushrooms and my wife had chicken curry, both meals were good portions and very well cooked. We travel over an hour and have never been disappointed.
The Queens Head – OswestryOur first visit to the area and the Water Rat had great kerb appeal. A very welcoming establishment and the staff, without exception were all very friendly and helpful. The range of food on offer was excellent and very competitively priced and absolutely delicious. The pizza was the best I’ve had in ages. A great find all round.
Water Rat – IronbridgeHad an amazing meal at the gate, the steak and the sides were just amazing! Service was excellent and the staff so friendly. My new favourite place to go and eat, it is out of this world!
The Gate – ShrewsburyEXCELLENT!! We really enjoyed our afternoon tea as it was such a nice change from traditional sandwiches. Our waiter Max was so pleasant, helpful & obliging. He had arranged for us an old style wooden table near the widow with views towards the trees that front the river & passers by sheltering from the squally showers. He turned down the volume of the music as the speaker was near our table & we had just driven from North Wales so needed a bit of quiet. Most important he accommodated my allergy to chillies & peppers ensuring the food we received did not have paprika & cayene pepper & wasn't spiced. The food was so tasty, the meat "melt in your mouth" & the sweet course looked & tasted delicious. The room was lovely with the old beams. A place of real character. As it was mid September it was fairly quiet, though in summer months it is probably extremely busy. We will be back. Ours was a Groupon deal & exceptional value for quality food. Thank you.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordWe had a very pleasant evening and nights stay. The staff were all friendly and cheerful. The menu was varied and very enjoyable as there were options other than deep fried pub grub. I had Mediterranean baked cod; the prices were on a par with other places locally but better value.
Water Rat – IronbridgeWe visited on the 14th for a Sunday roast, absolutely gorgeous, another lovely meal at The Queens Head, staff very attentive and such a lovely atmosphere, look forward to next time.
The Queens Head – OswestryHad early evening meal in the sun room pate lovely hen fish chops frind chose the steak pie said very good
The Queens Head – OswestrySteak cooked to perfection, good vegetarian choices for the veggie in the group. Cherry martini and Bramble were delicious and a decent size. Staff were friendly and made sure you had everything you needed. Great value for money, one of the best seasoned and cooked steaks ive had in a long time
The Gate – ShrewsburyBest reviews in Ironbridge, hence our visit. Only a small restaurant so book well ahead. Service was prompt, maybe a bit too prompt. Menu was not lengthy which indicates freshly prepared. Our meal was moderate spicy, but very tasty and not filling thankfully. However, the prawns were over cooked, which should not happen. Reasonable drinks menu which comes from the pub next door! A mandatory choice of either 2 or 3 courses was not obvious until we sat down.
Suree’s Kitchen – IronbridgeChose The Malthouse for its menu variety & proximity. Great selection, good food & nice atmosphere. Have eaten here on many occasions - it’s one of my favourites in Ironbridge.
The Malthouse – TelfordWhilst the food was enjoyable, we did have a long wait after ordering to our main course, especially relevant as we were the only diners for the first 20 minutes we were there. Not sure that the Staff serving the alcohol were 18, and that seemed more intent on the attention of a group of lads that came in. This is such a shsmd as we have eaten here many times and it’s always been a nice experience. We have been coming here for just over a year now and the menu choices have not changed.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyWent for Food at The Smokey Cow for My Dad's 60th. It was amazing from start to finish! Food was 10/10. Chef Josh cooked everything to perfection. The steak cut through like butter! Louise was fab, nothing was too much trouble for her, she was brilliant with the kids in our party, promit with service and so friendly. Our experience was first class and will definitely be returning. Thank you team :)
