The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordWe were a party of 13 so had pre-ordered from a large and comprehensive menu, which included light bites to suit smaller appetites. Everyone enjoyed their meal and spoke of returning. Service good, atmosphere good, happy diners.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyNot from the area so read reviews and booked a table for 8 of us, lovely pub , staff very friendly and accommodating, food excellent Choice, good sized portions and hot, would not hesitate in booking again thank you
The Queens Head – OswestryWe had early dinner while staying overnight. Had olives and bread to share be main and this was nice, would have preferred pitted olives. Sea bass and vegetables was very good and had side of tasty veg. Steak and ale pie, which was a real pie, was also very good, with tasty mash and veg.
The White Hart – IronbridgeWonderful service and great food. The menu was very varied and had something for everyone in our party. Would recommend
The Queens Head – OswestryWe booked a table for 4 of us. We hadn’t been to The Water Rat for some time. Food was excellent, restaurant was not very busy. Service was okay, but felt we were left waiting for some time to order and then for desert. The only thing I would say, is that it would be much more enjoyable eating our lovely dinner if the staff were not setting up literally all around us for breakfast the next morning… However the food was lovely !
Water Rat – IronbridgeFirst but not last time we will be eating here, the atmosphere is lovely inside helped by very friendly and helpful staff. The meal was excellent I had the Brisket and my wife had the crispy Pork both cooked beautifully. Highly recommended
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyA real hidden gem within beckbury. Great food and great service we were early but staff gladly seated us. Price point is just right and quality of meats are second to none. If I could change anything I would have had maybe quiet music on in the background. Given it was 1;30 on a Saturday there were only 3 other tables and it felt slightly silent at points. Doesn't take away from the excellent all round service and food.
The Smokey Cow – TelfordExcellent bottomless brunch 24th May. Eve our hostess was a superb mixologist who kept her cool and was friendly and knowledgeable. Quality of cocktails good. Hilarious night, lots of fun, food and ambiance good. Definitely going again.
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeNice choice of food, something for everyone. Friendly staff. Good atmosphere. Whe food arrived, very tasty and no real complaints. Some people were having pizzas that looked quite tasty
The Golden Ball Inn – TelfordFood was excellent! Great choices and quality food. Reasonable prices. Catered to gluten free as well.
The White Hart – IronbridgeFood was lovely, bar staff were friendly and attentive. A little pricey for the bottomless brunch. Only moan I have is that drinks were served in plastic beakers. When paying for a round of drinks costing over £30, I would expect nice glassware .
The Malthouse – TelfordService was excellent. Meal was very good. Thank you
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordSunday roast was very overpriced very small potions 3 half slices of pork a small circle of undercooked stuffin, 1 potato cut into 3 for roasters and a desert size spoon of mash up carrot and backed up cabbage no mash or other veg snd £1 extra for 1 Yorshire pudding that was like eating crisps. And watery gravy already poured over it and a 10% services charge automatic added onto bill. I did question it she did offer to take it off but I felt awkward so left it on won’t be returning sorry lovely location though such a shame the food overpriced let it down I do have photos of it if u want to see.
The White Hart – IronbridgeAll of our party of 5 enjoyed the food. The paella was delicious and plentiful. Look forward to coming back when next in the area. Thank you.
The Queens Head – OswestryCan't recommend the Elephant crossing high enough. We booked on line ,which was simplicity itself, just a couple of clicks and job done. The venue is well laid out , and spotlessly clean . The level of service we received was second to none , when we visited, Chloe was our hostess, who was bright, bubbly and efficient,a real credit to the establishment. As for the food served, it was of top quality, very well presented with good portion sizes and very tasty. I personally would recommend the pulled pork Sunday roast and the surf and turf options. We would have no hesitation in visiting the Elephant crossing again the next time we're in Ironbridge and would happily recommend the venue to anyone.
