Excellent Sunday roast dinner, great food and plenty of it. Excellent waffle desert!
The Queens Head – OswestryGreat Sunday lunch as per usual, great friendly service and good value
The Last Inn – NewportWe use the Queens head quite often, beautiful home cooked food always cooked to perfection, staff are always busy but very friendly, roast dinners are amazing, love the place.
The Queens Head – OswestryWe had a fantastic afternoon tea Everything was really tasty + lots of it! Would definitely recommend
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordFood was poor, there was no mashed potato and I had to ask for it. When it came it was ordinary mash and it should have been mustard mash. The portions were very poor. Anyway, just to sum up….there are far better eateries than the White Hart within the locality. Sorry, just saying it as it is.
The White Hart – IronbridgeAbsolutely wonderful place, the staff were very welcoming, couldn't do enough for us. A lovely, small intimate restaurant. The service was fabulous. The food didn't take long at all to come out and it didn't disappoint. Very tasty and good sized portions. Excellent value for money. We'll definitely be back. Thankyou Suree ❤️
Suree’s Kitchen – IronbridgeMy pie was ok, the quality of the beef could have been much better, the hand cut chips were not crispy. The gravy was watery. My wife’s wild mushroom stroganoff very disappointing. Contained only a few button mushrooms bulked out with onions, peppers and aubergine. The burgers were reasonable. The service was good and the staff very pleasant. Value for money was acceptable. One glass of drink was returned due to lipstick on it.
The Malthouse – TelfordGreat place, this was recommended by the people in the hotel we were staying at, brilliant find will definitely be going back the next time we visit Shrewsbury
The Gate – ShrewsburyHad a really great experience at our recent visit. Food was excellent as was the service. Ella looked after us and she was fab. A real asset to the business. Cocktails were lovely and the setting was tastefully done. Enjoyed it so much and will definitely be back.
The Elephant Crossing – Ironbridge5 of us dined on 2nd august . Requested a “nice”window table at least 2 weeks in advance for my mom’s 75th birthday. Request totally ignored as given table against wall with no view at all and pub was not busy. Didn’t want to make a fuss in front of my mom. Starters of white bait and chicken wings were nice but mains were just “ok. I had Cajun chicken which was tiny but served with a plateful of aneamic looking fries and sloppy coleslaw, not great for near on £18; rest of dishes were just ok. Staff friendly
Water Rat – IronbridgeI went last night with 23 gymnasts after a long day of competing and Georgina and her team were amazing! The food was amazing and came out promptly so we were not too hungry, on top of that they were able to deal with all the extra drink and desert requests with no issue! We had an amazing time and will be going back!!
The Last Inn – NewportWe have been to this restaurant a number of times fantastic authentic Thai food- having been to Thailand myself l can truly tell you what a great place this is!
Suree’s Kitchen – IronbridgeGreat food and lovely customer service given by the whole team. Highly recommend a visit, also a great place to finish one of the lovely local walks!
The Smokey Cow – TelfordAbsolutely fantastic service, and the food was amazing, big portions cooked to perfection
The Smokey Cow – TelfordWe visited on a Friday afternoon after visiting the ironworks. There were 2 staff on for our 16.30 booking. They were absolutely fantastic, we had 3 young children with us, the menu choices for them were very good, as well as for the adults. The food was delicious, staff and service were excellent. We are planning to visit again when we return to the ironworks in September.
The Queens Head – OswestryThe best roast I’ve ever had!! I can’t wait to go back.
The Bull – ShrewsburyMonday evening, very quiet, but took over an hour for our food to arrive. Won't be going back for that reason.
The Smokey Cow – TelfordCame for the afternoon tea after getting a voucher. Will definitely be visiting again!
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordSmall Plates: 3 for £16, 5 for £25.
