The Bull – ShrewsburyReally enjoyed our visit as a small group of ramblers six in total we visit various venues for Sunday lunch the food was very flavoursome the meat was very tender and ample the service was very good and the staff were cheerful which created a welcoming atmosphere the interior was pleasing and comfortable would visit again
The Bull – ShrewsburyWe have visited The Last Inn previously a number of times but due to relocating out of Shropshire we have not visited for 18 months. We chose to travel back for a family meal due to how good our previous experiences had been. Unfortunately it was not as good as we remembered at all the food quality has significantly reduced my husbands meal was not served complete, my burger was supposed to be served with Monterey cheese, I received two slices of plastic cheese not as expected! My mother in laws veg was unpleasant and she was really disappointed with the “home made” pie that we advised her to have as we had both had it before and it was clearly brought in and not homemade at all! Service was also very poor and extremely slow it took 2.5 hours for us to complete the meal. Guests who came after us were served before we were it was very disorganised. Staff were not around to speak to we were not asked if the food was ok and after being served our mains we asked for more drinks then never saw another staff member. 2 drinks were forgotten because the staff did not know if they had Guiness they went to check and gif not return??. Overall very disappointing compared to our previous visits. We will not be returning and would definitely not recommend.
The Last Inn – NewportMy husband and I had a table for the earlier service. As we went in we were assaulted by a wall of noise from a large party and I am very sorry to say that the continuation of this ruined our much awaited evening! Such a shame as Suree was delightful and the food excellent. It should have been a lovely intimate meal. People who came in for the second sitting couldn't believe the noise either. Perhaps this great little restaurant should consider having a large party with no other guests?
Suree’s Kitchen – IronbridgeVery strange fish pie Best described as a Thai green curry with potatoes mash Completely overpowered the flavour of any fish
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyDelicious food, fabulous cocktails and great service! Would definitely recommend.
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeLovely atmosphere, fantastic food and delicious cocktails. Great price and amazing customer service! I would definitely recommend
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeGreat service and great food
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeWe stayed at The Water Rat for 2 nights end of October/early November. We were welcomed by Lee and stayed in room 6 and this was perfect for our stay. We had a nice view of the river, valley and bridge. Low level and we could park right by the door with a short walk to the main entrance to the pub. All the staff during our stay were very nice, professional and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious on both mornings and Sue worked very hard seeing to all the guests singlehanded. Evening meal on both nights was well presented. On the first night I had the fish dish which was served with crushed potatoes and parsley sauce this was very tasty. On the second night I had battered fish and chips, the fish was lovely but thought the chips were on the large side. A service charge was automatically put on the bill on the first night but not the second. I personally would prefer to make my own mind up whether I leave a tip or not. Overall a great stay in a lovely town with great heritage. Would highly recommend. Good value for money.
Water Rat – IronbridgeTook our daughter out for halloween .My husband loved his lamb shank but felt it was only just warm ,ihad fish and chips which was lovely a few chips were hard though,my daughter had jerk curry which she loved. I didnt realise about the service charge which i wasnt told about of 10% till i got home.i felt a tip would have been better.,Going in december will have charge taken off.a lovely time had though.
Water Rat – IronbridgeWe had a brilliant Sunday Dinner, friendly staff, good service and fantastic food
The Last Inn – NewportFood was lovely when it arrived. We preordered due to numbers of people attending the meal, table was booked for 7pm for a 60th birthday celebration but very disappointed with service. Nobody came to us regarding food etc, I had to go to the Bar regarding when we were going to get our food, staff did not seem to know that our food choices had already been ordered. Well after 8pm before we saw any food arrive on the table. It was a long wait and we had 2 very hungry children
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordAbsolutely wonderful experience… amazing food, amazing cocktails and a cosy atmosphere with friendly staff! Extremely impressed with the Halloween cocktails! Will definitely visit again!
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeLovely food, really enjoyable, good range of vegetarian and vegan options available too.
The Last Inn – NewportI could not have felt more cared for today. Having found that I have a few foods that I am intolerant to, the chef went out of his way to advise and create me a delicious meal that I could enjoy without worry. Thank you so much
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyAmazing meal here, gorgeous home cooked food, brilliant service and great value for money! We will be returning!
