Amazing Sunday roast. Throughly recommend, food was delicious and staff were all really friendly and helpful.
The Elephant Crossing – Ironbridgevery good evening at the bull, were unaware of the greek night happening however we thoroughly enjoyed the food, we frequent greece and it would of done any eatery there proud. smashing plates and great staff added to the experience. will be back, and we will keep more of an eye out for future events.
The Bull – ShrewsburySuch a wonderful experience that we went back twice . We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, beautifully presented and tasted so amazing . We went back the next day and tried the £17 early evening offer and was not disappointed. Such a great offer . Thank you to the chef and all the amazing team.
The White Hart – IronbridgeVisited The White Hart midweek with a couple of friends for an early evening meal. We had the 2 course for £17 meal deal. We found it good value for money. I had the pea soup for a starter and the Caribbean stewed chicken with rice and peas for the main. We were pleasantly surprised how tasty the food was and the portion size was good. A shout out to the staff also who made us feel welcome.
The White Hart – IronbridgeThird time staying at the Water Rat . This time the dinner offering was much reduced. On the website there are seven choices for main course and on our visit only four. Fish, steak ,burger and a salad. They were fine but not what we had anticipated. Nothing that took a great deal of preparation and the only vegetable needed was mushy peas . The dessert course also had less options than on the sample menu . ,
Water Rat – IronbridgeFor the price we were charged the food was average. Soup of the day was too thin and not as flavourful as it could’ve been. The spiced Hummus starter was probably the best on the evening. The meat in the slow cooked braised beef was quite fatty. It was accompanied by packet mash, not real mashed potatoe! The tartar sauce was ommissed completely with the Fish and chips! The honey cheesecake was just plain cheesecake drenched in way too much honey! The portion sizes left a lot to be desired for! The Espresso Martini Cocktail was overly sweet (not mine) The wine was nice (not mine) No classic coke was on offer, only diet options were available (so I was reduced to having water with my meal, since I don’t consume alcohol), which is pretty poor for someone with an aspartame intolerance!!! For the prices they charge we expected a lot more quality than was delivered! I certainly won’t be back there in a hurry…
The White Hart – IronbridgeWe were holidaying in the area, chose The Last Inn for our last 'holiday' meal and what a good choice it was! Loved the decor, the food was delicious and the menu provided enough choice to cater for our table of five. The Last Inn was welcoming and friendly and if we're in the area again, we will definitely be back!
The Last Inn – NewportHave always had a good meal in the past but went to the Greek themed evening last night. Staff were faultless very attentive and friendly could not fault them, however the starter after a lengthy wait was like warm but edible. Hoping for a better main but again after a wait it arrived like warm. My husband had the beef stifado 2/3rds of the meat was inedible chewy. Too many pickled onions spoiled the dish. My dish lamb kleftiko was a small minted lamb dinner roast garlic potatoes were not cooked through, I know I shouldn’t have expected a lot for the price but it should have been edible. We did complain but were only given “oh well it comes like that sometimes “ ?? It was only because we liked the guys serving we didn’t make a stand, we thought it wasn’t worth the upset. Such a shame though.
The Bull – ShrewsburyFood and atmosphere excellent.Staff outstanding.A great place to go!
The Elephant Crossing – Ironbridgegreat atmosphere lovely service and food was great, thanks folk's..
The Smokey Cow – TelfordFirstly I want to say The White Hart is a lovely pub. The staff are friendly and the service is good but slow in busy times (as to be expected). The food quality is excellent but I feel I have to warn people that the portions are small, it’s one of those places where unless you order those courses you will need to stop at the chippy on the way home. Personally it’s not for us. We don’t like massive portions but we like value for money.
The White Hart – IronbridgeBrilliant! Beautiful food, very well cooked. Loved that you got different salads with the dishes. Great cocktails too - classics beautifully prepared. We were not very confident navigating the menu, the wonderful server talked us through it and advised on quantity. The service from everyone was a very high standard - more attentive and helpful than in the Michelin star restaurant we dined at the previous Saturday.
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeDelicious Sunday roast at a fabulous price. Can't wait to come back and try the regular menu. Great service too
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordOur second time of visiting, food and service exceptional and very relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended to all. Will certainly be sharing our experiences with other friends
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeWe were really looking forward to visiting the Smokey Cow as it had been recommended to us and it was our first time there. However, we left feeling a little disappointed. We had all read the menu in advance and were looking forward to ordering either their signature pies or the brisket. When we came to order we were told, quit casually, that there were no pies or brisket left. The waitress said that we should have been told when we arrived that they had sold out but this hadn’t been the case. Overall the service was ok and the food we ended up ordering was decent quality, just a really poor experience considering it was a Saturday night and our table was at 7pm so not that late. We would have expected that they had more than enough pies and brisket to serve the tables who had booked in advance as these are their signature meals. We had travelled from Perton and Sedgley to try the place out which isn’t amazingly close by. Such a shame.
The Smokey Cow – TelfordFood was great. Plenty of choices for all on the menu. Service was excellent. Will be back!
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeFood was OK. Didn't realise there was going to be live music. The music was good but it was very loud and difficult to have a conversation. Service was very slow. Door was left open so smoke from smoking area just outside was blowing inside which wasn't great.
