Excellent food in a warm welcoming environment. We'll worth a visit and many return visits

We had a lovely time at The Old Courthouse. We were a party of 7 and the booking process was straight forward and stress free. Between us, we had ordered most things on the menu and everyone enjoyed the food. Thank you to Moira and team for a great dining experience.

The food and service was top class. We couldn't fault anything. Portion size were just right. The staff were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. If we had stopped in North Wales longer, we would definitely have returned.

15 ladies from Holt WI all enjoyed our afternoon tea. Sandwiches and cakes were delicious. The scones with jam and clotted cream were the best we had ever tasted. They were warm and a very generous size. Only complaint is the tea and coffee was limited to one small cup per person. Additional tea and coffee had to be purchased. It wouldn’t take much to have tea and coffee in pots. Price was good but we did book an estimated number of 18. However 3 people couldn’t make it for various reasons so we had to pay for 18 not 15. The one cup of tea or coffee wasn’t mentioned when we booked? All in all a very pleasant experience.

Lovely pub, great atmosphere and delicious food. Service was a little slow but pub was packed so should be expected! Would highly recommend.

We had a Sunday roast, huge Yorkshire pudding and everything about the meal was delicious. All staff happy and friendly We will definitely be back!

Fantastic food, great atmosphere, always lovely and clean! The owners are so lovely, we've enjoyed ourselves every time we've been, good value for money too! We even had our wedding there and I could not say a bad word about the whole experience, it was such a perfect day! Can't thank them enough ❤️

Starters, Chicken strips - superb. Main, Tikka Masala - superb. Dessert, Cheesecake - beyond superb. Service was also superb - thank you Emily.

Great food, great service and plenty of gluten-free options. I'm coeliac so this is really important and Y Sgwar were on the ball right from the time we arrived. I'd notified them of my dietary requirements when booking and this was acknowledged, and acted upon, when we arrived. This was a very welcome surprise as, in my experience, restaurants almost never manage to do this despite being told in advance.

As always, great produce, cooked with great skill, best restaurant in a great town.

We were at Telford bistro for my husbands birthday dinner. Ambience was nice, service was fast and friendly. Starters were very delicious. Chowder was super tasty. Our fish mains (monkfish and red snapper) were also nicely presented and delicious. The sticky toffee pudding was their birthday treat to us. It was one of the best I've tried. Creme brulee needs a bit improvement.

Fabulous food, couldn't fault it in any way. We have been coming here for years and never disappoints.

We are local but never eaten at Telfords despite the rave reviews from our friends. We then had the perfect reason to book as our son came to visit and he is a real foodie and eats out a lot. I booked in on line but arrived a little early and the restaurant was buzzing. Chris chose a table for us that was ideal for 3 in the heart of the restaurant. The menu was imaginative and the fish surpassed even my son’s expectations. We chose a bottle of the white Rioja which complimented our choices. I would have no hesitation in recommending Telfords as an exceptional dining experience.

The food was amazing! Customer service too. Also the time it took for our meals to arrive was first class. I would recommend to anyone in the Barmouth area that is looking for somewhere to eat. Make sure you book as it is always very busy.
