Lovely evening. Delicious food. Service was good and friendly, especially the dark haired waitress who was very smiley.

5 of us all had a very pleasant seafood experience. Starters: Mussels,squid and Thai fish cakes all very nice. Main Course: Linguine good but portion quite small. Monkfish, snapper curry and salmon all very tasty.

Delighted to have the opportunity to return to Tremadog and have a meal at Y Sgwar. It was every bit as good as we remembered. Could not fault the ambiance, service was faultless and the food excellent. Can’t wait to go back.

Beautiful surroundings .Excellent service very obliging staff. The food was really nice and very tasty from what I picked from the menu.It was a quiet afternoon but the restaurant was pleasant to sit in. With a good ambiance.Good value for what I had. Enjoyed it that much that I have booked again for more of my friends to have a meal there .

Customer service was excellent, from the initial welcome, right throughout the table service. The menu had something for everyone and the food was well presented and well cooked. Our group of 6 had a great experience and has already decided to book again, during our next visit to Conwy.

We have eaten here several times. The food is exceptional and the service second to none. The waiting staff are all quite young but very well trained. They are also all dressed the same which looks very smart and professional. Not many restaurants do you see this nowadays. Even though it has been quite busy each time we have been the service is very quick and efficient. There is a lovely sitting area and the restaurant always has fresh flowers on the reception. Would thoroughly recommend

We had a wonderful family meal at Y Sgwar on Saturday July 20th. It was to celebrate an 18th birthday and a Golden Wedding Anniversary. We couldn't fault anything, food service and attention to detail. The scallop starter was fantastic, could have eaten lots more. Mains were good too. Thank you to all of the staff for making it a memorable evening The only downside was the lack of Malbec !

Lovely setting and excellent Sunday carvery. The waitresses were very polite, however, the manager was constantly getting them to get our order faster etc... we prefered their nice relaxing, efficient approach.

A really fabulous meal in a lovely environment. Pleased that the lighting has now been reduced to create a better ambiance than previously. Can’t fault the service and the food was wonderful.

What a fabulous find! We were thrilled with our pre 'theatre in the Castle' meal at the Bistro....we had paté and calamari for starters and both were equally delicious but our main courses were just amazing! I had red snapper curry.... possibly the tastiest curry I've ever had....no exaggeration there! Flavourful, tangy, unctuous, perfectly cooked.... easily 10/10. My husband was just as delighted with his choice of the monkfish. Well done Telford's!

The food was really good and the staff great my only complaint was the smell from the cooking ? Maybe better extracter fans would help as the food deserves a good environment

Wonderful food, lovely friendly staff. Service was great and the place is really nice. The taste and the presentation of the food was relative to the bill :) Would definitely go back again next time we are in the area. The roast rib of beef was stunning. Good luck to the family who run it.

I always check reviews before I book a meal, but quite often I am underwhelmed.... definitely not on this occasion! A fantastic 2 course lunch, incredible price too. I had mussels which were super sweet, and John Dory for main - a beautifully balanced plate of food - I wish I lived in Conwy, would be visiting all the time.... Thank you for a wonderful experience!

A very nice experience in an unusual setting. Food and service first class, friendly staff.

The arancini were delicious as was the feta tart with nicely cooked real fresh veg and moreish mashed potato. The food was served in a very timely fashion even though it was a very busy evening. Staff were very welcoming too.
