The Greenway, Shurdington
Perhaps the finest country house hotel in the Cheltenham area, this superb Elizabethan manor has retained its historic features and charming character. It takes its name from the pre-Roman path which runs beside the building and The Greenway was a favourite with the late Queen Mother during Cheltenham Gold Cup race week. Furnished with fine antique furniture complemented by fresh flowers, the renowned restaurant and luxurious lounges offer guests a combination of sophisticated elegance and rural informality. The 21 luxurious bedrooms are individually furnished to very high standards, many with original antique furniture and fine paintings and all boasting stylish en-suite bathrooms.
The Greenway Restaurant has won many awards, both nationally and internationally, and Head Chef Darren Jory concentrates the menu on local produce which is delivered fresh daily. The Greenway is an ideal location for all manner of corporate events and is the perfect romantic location for bespoke weddings. The Greenway is also an excellent base from which to explore the Cotswolds.
