Lower Slaughter Manor, Lower Slaughter
Lower Slaughter Manor is one of the finest 17th-century country houses in the south of England. It stands in its own lovely gardens next to the historic church of St. Mary in the heart of the beautiful Cotswold village of Lower Slaughter. The pretty River Eye, crossed by two small stone footbridges and a small road bridge, bisects the village as it flows gently by the imposing entrance. The bedrooms at Lower Slaughter Manor have benefited from a £2m refurbishment and all 19 rooms have their own individuality in layout, colour and design.
The Restaurant at Lower Slaughter Manor is as chic as it gets, with chocolate brown silk walls, Murano crystal and Ocean Blue chandeliers and intimate seating. There's even a cosy, semi-private part of the restaurant, the original chapel, that's an idyllic, gastronomic rendezvous for small parties up to 15. Head Chef David Kelman uses the best fresh local produce whenever possible and you can dine in the award-winning restaurant or eat al fresco in the lovely gardens. Special dietary needs can be catered for.
